The Road to Christmas by Sheila Roberts Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to take some time out of your day to stop by The Preppy Book Princess. I'm Kirby, and I'm happy you're here. I've been an avid reader my entire life, and I started my book blog back in September of 2015. I've grown a lot fussier in the last couple of years about the type of content I allow myself to read, watch and listen to, and that's meant I read a lot less secular fiction than I used to. Honestly, Christian fiction is the best genre anyways, so it hasn't been a hardship whatsoever to give up more of the non Christian titles. However, there are a few secular authors whose books I've still enjoyed in the past that I have continued to read, and today I'd like to share a newer release by one of those authors with you all. I'm going to preface this one by saying that after two disappointing experiences in a row with this author, I'm not sure I'll ...

Hope for the Hero by Mandi Blake Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray your week is off to a great start wherever you're reading from, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. We had a huge snowstorm hit our area over the weekend, and I'm very much looking forward to just getting to stay home and spend some quality time with Jesus, my hubby, my kitties, and the wonderful books I've been reading. And if I'm being honest, I'm also looking forward to getting to treat myself to one of the amazing homemade apple fritters that my husband made for us yesterday morning.  If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you're probably already quite aware just how much I adore Mandi Blake's wonderful stories. Her books are always clean, swoon worthy, and full of love for Jesus, and I've yet to not love one of her books. Every Christmas season, I look forward to getting to read her new holiday release, and this year, she's treated her read...

Love, Lies and Sleigh Rides by D.E. Malone Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm actually looking forward to today. My hubby and I are going to head out on a little bit of a road trip to do some Christmas shopping. It might seem early to some, but I've actually already started my list a couple months back, and I hope to get a lot more of it crossed off by the end of the day. Since we are doing something fun and festive today, I thought kicking off the morning by sharing another Christmas book review with you all was a wonderful idea. If you've read my blog before, then you've probably heard me mention time and time again just how much I love small town romances, and over the past couple of years, D.E. Malone has become one of my favorite authors within this genre. I've reviewed quite a few of the other titles in the Blueberry Point Romance series, and you can check those out usi...

Love Always, Christmas by Karen Schaler Review

Happy Tuesday Friends :) I pray you all had a great weekend, and if you're visiting my blog from Canada, then I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! I don't usually post on Tuesdays, but tomorrow is going to be a bit of crazy day for me, and so I decided to go ahead and share this post with you all today. Now that it's past Thanksgiving in Canada, it seems the perfect time to start rolling out more of my Christmas reviews for 2022, and I'm excited to share another one of these reviews with you all today.  I had the pleasure of reading my first book by Karen Schaler last year, and I thought it a was a wonderful and heartwarming tale that gave me all the warm fuzzies. You can check out that review using the link below: A Royal Christmas Fairy Tale Ever since, I've been wanting to give another of her books a try, and I couldn't wait to dive right into her newest release. Even more exciting, this particular book releases today! So if it sounds like something...

It Came Upon a Midnight Shear by Allie Pleiter Review

Good Morning Bookish World :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me here on The Preppy Book Princess. Let me ask you, are you a fan of cozy mysteries? I adore them (as long as they actually are cozy and clean), and I've come to have quite a few favorite series within this genre over the years. Last year, one of my all time favorite Love Inspired authors Allie Pleiter tried her hand at a cozy mystery series for the first time, and I was lucky enough to get to be on her street team for it. I didn't completely love the first title in the series, but the second one was a wonderful addition, and I was very much looking forward to diving into the third, especially since it's a Christmas themed mystery. If you'd like to check out my reviews of the first two books in the series, you can do so using the links below, otherwise keep on reading for my review of the upcoming third title in the series. On Skein of Death Knit or Dye Trying It C...

On the Way to Christmas by Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson and Amy Clipston Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm Kirby, and I'm delighted that you chose to stop by my little bookish corner of the internet. I actually planned on sharing this review with you all yesterday, but my heart just wasn't into doing so. I'm absolutely heartbroken and grief stricken for the horrific events that plagued my province over the past few days, and I just couldn't bring myself to focus on book reviews of bookstagram photos. My prayers are with every single person who was affected by this senseless tragedy, and I pray, among many other things, that healing will come for the victims and their families, and for the entire communities that have to try and rebuild their sense of safety and security after everything was shattered. If you'd be able to keep these communities in your prayers as well, I'd be most appreciative. Now I...

Five and Dime Christmas: Four Historical Novellas by Cynthia Hickey, Susanne Dietze, Patty Smith Hall and Christina Lorenzen Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I hope you are all having a great week, and I want to thank you for choosing to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today. I'm Kirby, and I love sharing reviews of the many books I devour on a regular basis with you all. I'm not much of a summer person if I'm being honest. I don't love the heat, big crowds or bugs, and that pretty describes summer where I'm from. I wait all year for fall, and my favorite months of the year are September through December. To say I've been a little impatient this year waiting for fall to arrive is an understatement, and one thing that's been helping along the way is reading wonderful stories that are set during either the fall or Christmas seasons. Today I'm excited to be bringing you all another book review of an upcoming 2022 Christmas story, and I can't wait to tell you all about this wonderful title. This one actually releases tomorrow, and I can guarantee that you're not going to want...

A Quilt for Christmas by Melody Carlson Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm back after a lovely few days at the lake with my family. Of course not everything went quite as we planned, but I think that's kind of just par for the course somedays. Regardless, we did have a wonderful holiday, but I'm thankful to be back at home with my husband and kitties, and am thankful to be back here sharing another book review with you all. Melody Carlson has become one of my favorite authors over the last several years, and while I look forward to all of her new book releases, there's just something extra special about her Christmas releases. I recently had the chance to read her upcoming 2022 Christmas release, and I can't wait to to share all about it with you all today. Keep reading down below for my full review.
