  Hello Bookish Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm going to be sharing a few more young adult book reviews in the next little while than normal for me, but it's mainly because I decided to give a few titles within this genre another chance, just to see if I could possibly find any that might still be something I could classify as clean and still find enjoyable. Today's title had actually been on my TBR for quite some time, but I wasn't quite willing to part with 27.00 dollars to read it. Instead, I ordered it in at my library, and I was excited to dive right in. One thing that has really started to bother me lately is the importance our society puts on money. Everything is about how much you can make, buying things that are more expensive than one could ever need, constantly striving for a better job so you have can have that extravagant lifestyle, etc. etc. And the most frustrating thing of all is that so many Christians are starting to have this attitude as well.  Money has become such an idol in our world today, and it makes me so sad. I've mentioned quite a few times on my blog in the last couple of years that I don't read too much secular fiction anymore. Young Adult Fiction used to be my absolute favorite, but over the last while I've grown really disheartened with the amount of unnecessary content being included in so many of the titles. Young Adult Contemporaries used to be my absolute favorite genre. I voraciously read each and every one I could find, and I used to love so many of them. Unfortunately, in the last few years I've started to notice a downwards trend within this genre.  They are no longer clean or cutesy, and instead are chocked full of inappropriate content, and I find myself really having to weed through the available titles. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you'd probably know that Allie Pleiter is one of my all time favorite Love Inspired authors. So when I heard that she was writing a cozy mystery series, I couldn't have been more excited. However, when I read the first book, it wasn't quite what I was expecting.
