RT Booklovers Giant Book Haul!!!!

Happy Friday Everyone! I'm finally here to share the giant haul of books that Neil and I brought home with us from RT Booklovers last month! I'm so excited to share all the amazing books, totes and swag that we received, but I am still having a little bit of an issue with the photos. I hope everything formats properly, but if something looks funny, I do apologize, it's just I really want to get this post up, and I've literally been fighting with it for over a week now, and I don't really want to delay it any longer! So here is our amazing haul from RT Booklovers: To start with, here's the amazing bags we ended up bringing back with us. Unfortunately we did have to give some bags away, just because we didn't have space to pack them all, but we kept our favorites. We each got a first in line bag, the red convention bag, and the black rolling duffel bag, the other three are all mine from various events I attended without Neil. I was able to get my H

Friday Reads: May 27th, 2016

Happy Friday To All My Fellow Readers! I would say I'm so glad it's the weekend, but I'm actually working the majority of the weekend this time, so unfortunately it won't be too much of a relaxing time at home for me. However, I do still hope to have time to dive into some amazing books, and hence, that's why I'm here with another #Friday Reads post. #Friday Reads is a weekly meme hosted by the Petite Book Blogger, and it entails sharing the books you'll be reading over the weekend, whether or not you're enjoying them if you've already started them, and she also includes whether or not she will be reviewing the titles she's currently reading. Here are the amazing sounding books that I'll be curling up with this week: 1) The Help by Kathryn Stockett: This book had been on my TBR list for quite sometime, especially since I loved the movie, and I heard this was one movie that had actually done the book justice. I happened to find a

Top 5 Wednesday: Characters You Defend

Hey Guys, It's time for another Top 5 Wednesday Post, and, as I'm sure you can tell from the title, this week's topic is "Characters You Defend: Characters You Love, But No One Else Seems Too, So You Are Always Defending Them." Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey, and now hosted by Sam! The group communicates through goodreads, and is open for anyone to join. If you'd like to become part of it, or you're just interested in learning more about it, then please visit the group's goodreads page: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday I've found all the May topics so far to be really hard, but also really fun, because it's got me thinking about topics that I normally wouldn't have, like for instance, this week's topic. I had a tough time this week, because it's never fun to admit that some of your favorite characters are definitely disliked by other readers, but I did pick five that I always s

The White Rose by Amy Ewing

Hello All My Fellow Readers :) I hope all my fellow Canadians have been enjoying their long weekend, and that everyone else is having a great start to their week! I had planned on posting my RT Booklovers Haul today, as I'm so excited to share all the fabulous books I brought back from there, but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to. We've been having some really crazy storms this whole weekend, and I've been having some technological problems with uploading pictures. Aside from that, I managed to cut my scalp at work today, and my head has been pounding ever since, so I know I wouldn't be able to put the time and effort I wanted to into that post. And since I also can't currently get the book haul photos to upload, I've decided to postpone my haul until Friday, and today instead, I will be posting a review that I actually wrote a couple of months ago, but never had a chance to post. So today's post will be a review of The White Rose by Amy E

Vegas For RT BookLovers: Final Days!

Happy Friday To All My Fellow Readers! I'm so excited it's finally the weekend, and that I finally have time to catch up on everything around the house that got neglected during this insanely busy work week! I hope everyone had a great week, and that you all have some fun things planned for the weekend! I'm excited today to finally be posting my last recap from my RT Booklovers experience, and let me tell you guys, this one is going to be really short when compared to the others, because we didn't actually end up doing any of the RT events on our last day. So I'm going to go ahead and get this recap posted, so that I can finally start working on  my haul post from this convention, and I'm super excited to share that with all of you! Sunday April 17th, 2016: Saturday night was once again an awful experience thanks to the loud people in the room next door. They literally kept us up all night again, and started up at 7 am after doing so! Thankfully Neil w

Friday Reads: May 20th, 2016

Hello all my fellow readers, and hooray for it finally being the weekend! :) I'm here today to do another #Friday Reads Post. #Friday Reads is a weekly meme hosted by The Petite Book Blogger, and I'm really enjoying taking part in it. Basically what this weekly meme is, is sharing the books you're going to be reading over the weekend, and describing whether or not you're liking them if, if you have already started them. My weekend reads this time are going to have a couple of repeats from my last Friday Reads post, since I didn't get nearly as much reading done this week as I was planning too, but sometimes that's okay too, as we got a ton of our outside yard work done this week, and it was nice to have that out of the way. Here's the books I will be reading this weekend: 1) The Rancher's Christmas Proposal by Sherri Shackelford: I started this book before we left for Vegas in April, and I had planned on finishing it last weekend, but I

Top 5 Wednesday: Summer Reads

Hello all my fellow readers! :) It's Wednesday, and that means, of course, that it's time for another Top 5 Wednesday Post. Top 5 Wednesday is weekly meme that was originally created by Lainey, and is now being ran by Sam! If you're interested in becoming a part of it, or you're just looking to know more about it, head on over to the goodreads page: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday. I can't even tell you how excited I was when I saw this topic on the list of May's 2016 topics. I love summer reads, and there's honestly so many that I seem to keep reading and rereading because they either remind me of summer in general, or a specific summer where I read them for the first time. As always, I had trouble picking just five, but here's the ones I ended up deciding on, and I can't wait to see which books everyone else picks for this week's topic. 1) The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han My first pick this week
