  Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. It's been a little while since my last post, but I had actually planned it that way. My husband and I just got home from a wonderful week long trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario, and I promised him that I wouldn't say anything about it on my social media's until we were back home for security and safety reasons. We flew back home on Wednesday, stayed overnight in the city we flew out of, and returned home yesterday. It's definitely one of my favorite vacations we've ever taken, and I can't believe just how beautiful and stunning the falls were. It definitely reminded us just how amazing and gorgeous God's creation truly is. I can pretty much title my reading year in 2022 as the "year I fell in love with Erynn Mangum's books." While I had read one of her titles previously, I ended up literally inhaling so many of her titles last year, and honestly loving every single one.   Good Morning Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Young Adult Contemporaries used to be my all time favorite genre. I gobbled them up as fast as I could find them, and it probably made up over half of the books I'd read in a year. However, in recent years I've really grown disheartened with this genre. Aside from Kasie West and a couple of others, I've found that they all seem to include unnecessary content, and have way more adult sexual stuff in them than ever needs to be included in a book about two teenagers. In the last couple of weeks, I've decided to give a few more of these books a try, in the hopes that I'll find one that fits within the guidelines I'm looking for. Is anyone else finding themselves burned out on picking up Christian fiction books that end up pretty much being anything but? Can I just say that this review is honestly really hard to share with you all? For many many years, I listed young adult contemporary as my all time favorite genre. However, two things have really changed for me with this. First, I've become a lot pickier about the type of content I'm wanting to read, and honestly, this genre is pretty much packed with things I'd rather not be reading about. Secondly, this genre has really taken a turn for the worse in terms of content in the last few years. Even authors I really used to enjoy no longer seem to appeal to me, which is honestly kind of upsetting and not the trend I was hoping for in the YA publishing world. Happy August Everyone :) Can you believe it's already August? I'm so excited that fall is just around the corner, but I have to admit that I'm a little sad to see the days of boating, lounging reading by the lake, and going for walks coming slowly to an end. Which do you guys prefer: fall or summer? I'm definitely more of a fall person myself, but there's many things I do still love about summer. I apologize for my posts having been few and far between the last week.
