Book Review: Halfway Bitten by Terry Maggert

Happy Black Friday To All My Fellow Readers :) I hope all my American friends had a great Thanksgiving yesterday, and that everyone's finding lots of great shopping deals today. I want to start my post today by apologizing for my absence this week. Unfortunately, I had to have a couple of small operations on Wednesday morning, and with the preparations for those, the recovery afterwards, and trying to keep up with all the housework that's accumulated since, blogging kind of had to take a backseat. As I'm still feeling pretty sore and exhausted, I decided that I would do a book review today as per my regular uploading schedule, but after today, I am going to take an additional week off blogging. This will serve the dual purpose of giving me time to recuperate, but also allowing me to start preparing for Blogmas, as I've got lots of great ideas for posts for it, and I definitely wanted some time to prepare ahead of time. I look forward to seeing you guys all again

However, for today's post, I'm really excited to share a review for a book I just finished that is definitely out of my normal reading comfort zone, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. :) Halfway Dead by Terry Maggert; Publication Date: June 30th, 2015. Exciting Announcements For The Christmas Season :)

Happy Monday Guys! I literally just had one of the greatest weekends I can remember in a long time. I've decided to try and and be a lot more positive than I've been recently, as being down and depressed is definitely not how I like myself to be. Sometimes life deals us hard circumstances, but I'm definitely trying to turn a new leaf with how I handle them. This weekend my hubby and I got a jump start on our Christmas shopping, we enjoyed some quality time just watching movies, and yesterday, my dad and brothers came over to help us trim some trees that have been scraping against our roof in windstorms. We finished off the weekend with pizza and games night with my parents and siblings, and it was one of the best times I've had in a long time. I'm definitely enjoying getting to be in the holiday spirit, and that brings me to the purpose of today's post, which is making a couple of exciting announcements about my blog for the holiday season. 1) First, I&#

Sick Day Books and Movies

It's Remebrance Day guys, and before I jump into my post, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the brave men and women who have served over the years, and have given us the freedom we now have. Words could never be enough to describe the gratitude for all you have done! Unfortunately, I've been fighting off a flu bug that last few days, and I haven't actually had too much energy for blogging. I've had to miss a few days of work, and haven't really had the energy to get out of bed too much, and as such, I've watched a LOT of movies, and have read a lot of books. I thought today it might be a fun post idea to share with you guys what all I've read and watched, and what my thoughts and opinions were on each. First, let's talk about the movies: As I've mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of made for TV movies, especially Hallmark ones. I'm so beyond disappointed that Canada doesn't get the Hallmark channel, and I honestly think that t

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books I've Added To My TBR List Lately.

Happy Tuesday Guys! I've really been enjoying being a part of the Top Ten Tuesday weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. If you're not familiar with it, I highly suggest checking out the main page here: The Broke and The Bookish Today's topic, as you can tell from the title, is: Ten Books I've Added To My To-Be-Read List Lately. Here's my picks: 1) Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira: I found this particular book recently while browsing on goodreads, and honestly, this pretty much sounds like a booknerd's paradise to me. I can't wait to read this one. 2) Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks: I used to be a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks' books, and although I've definitely got away from being so, there's something about this new novel of his that massively appeals to me, and I truly hope to get to read this one soon. 3) Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare: I'd kind of I think forgotten just how much I love C

September and October Book Haul :)

Hey guys! As everybody who reads my blog is aware, I've been on a bit of book buying ban for the last few months. I came home with so many new books from RT Booklovers this spring, that I kind of thought it would be a bit frivolous to buy anymore, and so, I went a few months without actually buying any books. However, that did change in September and October, and I did end up purchasing a few books for myself, and I thought today would be the perfect day to share that haul of books with all you guys. :).    First off, on our trip to Disneyworld in September, we happened to fly out of the city that has my favorite Chapters bookstore. So on the way home, we decided to stop there, and I came out with four amazing books that I can't wait to read. First, I got Don't Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski, as I've loved the previous books I've read by her, and then, since as you guys know I've been dying to read more of the classics, I als

October 2016 Wrap Up

Guys how crazy is it that it's already November! I'm always sad to see October go, as fall is my favorite season, but, Christmas is definitely my favorite time of the year, and I'm always excited as we get closer and closer to it. Since it is already November, I thought today would be the perfect time to go ahead and share my October 2016 reading wrap up with all you guys. As you may remember, I had a bit of a stressful month, and unfortunately, I went through a bit of a reading slump. As such, I didn't finish nearly as many books this month as I normally do, but I'm excited to talk about all the ones I did finish. One Star Books: I'm excited to say that October was once again a month with no one star books for me. :) Two Star Books: One Night In The Ice Storm by Noelle Adams: I've mentioned quite a few times on my blog that I'm a sucker for free ebooks from Ibooks. This was another case of one I ended up downloading because it was
