Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books To Read if You're Book Club Likes Contemporary YA Fiction.

Happy Tuesday Guys!

I'm super excited to be here today participating in Top Ten Tuesday again. :)

If you're not familiar with Top Ten Tuesday, it's a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and The Bookish and here's the link to their page if you're interested in learning more about it:

http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html

This week's topic is: Top Ten Books To Read If You're Book Club Likes____(if you're book club likes historical fiction, inspiring stories, YA books, non-fiction, controversial books to debate about, or pick a specific book).

Since YA is my favorite genre, and everyone knows I'm the queen of reading contemporaries, I decided to use YA contemporary fiction as my picks for this week.

Here's the ten books I'd recommend:

1) Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins:

I couldn't recommend YA contemporaries without choosing my favorite book of all time. On top of this being one of the cutest romances ever, it's set in Paris, and has an extremely lovable cast of characters. I can't stress enough just how much I love this book.

2) The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han:

There's just something about this beautiful novel that has it always being a favorite choice of mine for a reread. I love Jenny Han's writing style, the beach town setting, and the adorable brothers fighting for Belly's attention.

3) Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson:

Even though you definitely need to have tissues ready for when you read this book, it's a beautiful story that I think would be the perfect read for a book club. Especially for summer meetings.

4) My Life With The Walter Boys by Ali Novak:

One prim and proper girl who's about to learn some harsh realities about life when she's forced to move in with twelve boys. Well eleven actual boys, and one tomboy if you want to get technical. One of my all time favorite contemporaries, and definitely a great choice for discussion at a book club meeting.

5) Lovestruck In London by Rachel Schurig:

This would be an ideal pick for an abroad romance. On top of it taking place in glorious London, it's a charming romance story, and it's a "famous person falls for the regular person" type of storyline. I truly adore this one.

6) The Statisitical Probablility Of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E Smith:

Really any of Jennifer E Smith's books would be great picks for a YA contemporary read, but I'm going to go with my favorite. What could be a better book for discussion than a chance meeting, family issues, and another abroad romance. :)

7) Crash Into You by Katie McGarry:

This would be my pick if you're book club is looking for something a little less sweet, and perhaps a little more spicy. Katie McGarry's novels are always the perfect choice for this category, and Crash Into You is my personal fave.

8) Whatever Life Throws At You by Julie Cross:

On top of this being a sizzling, sassy romance YA contemporary romance about a seventeen year old girl who falls for one of the ball players on her dad's professional team. It's also one of very few YA books I've read that portrays an awesome relationship between the main character and her father, and this is one of my all time favorite reread novels.

9) The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen:

I love how Sarah Dessen's novels always dive into a wide range of serious topics facing real teens today, but somehow she still manages to throw in the perfect amount of humor to have you laughing out loud at the same time. The Truth About Forever is my favorite novel by her, and I'd love the chance to get to read and discuss this one with a book club someday.

10) The Distance Between Us by Kasie West:

My last pick is a novel by another one of my favorite contemporary authors, Kasie West. The Distance Between Us is a heartwarming novel about a teenage girl who falls for a guy from a vastly different social status than she's currently in, and has to learn how to deal with her insecurities over her own situation in the process.

And those would be the ten novels I would personally recommend to any book club that loves Contemporary YA Fiction.

Thanks for reading guys, and I can't wait to see which books everyone else chose this week. :)

First Line Friday: Carolina Breeze

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. For this week's first line, I'm going to be sharing from Denise Hunter's recently released title that I ended up absolutely loving. Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter: About The Book: A jilted bride. A struggling innkeeper. And a romantic mountain getaway that changes everything. Rising Hollywood star Mia Emerson is looking for a safe place to land in the wake of a public breakup a...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: A Sweethaven Romance

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall? I personally love fall and it's my all time favorite season. However, I always find the changing of the seasons a tad bittersweet, although I'm very much looking forward to all the wonderful things fall brings with it. For today's post, I'm excited to be linking up again with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a fun, weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. For the last little while, I've been trying to focus on reading the many books I've added to my kindle over the last couple of years that I'd never got around to reading, and I've discovered many amazing books in the process. Today's first line comes from the book I most recently started reading on my kindle. A Sweethaven Rom...
