One of my all time favorite authors is Debbie Macomber, and I've shared quite a few reviews of her books on my blog over the years. It may be a little weird to be sharing a Christmas book review with you all in August, but I ended up being on the waiting list for newest title quite a bit past Christmas, and as such, I ended up reading it quite a bit after the season was over.   Hello Friends :) I pray you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've been thinking of switching my blog up a bit in the upcoming months. I love sharing my book reviews, and I will definitely continue to do so. However, I'd also love to go back to doing some other features like tags, ranked and reviewed, checking back on old book hauls, etc etc. Since I go through so many books, especially lately, that would probably mean either adding an extra day to my three regular days of blogging, or perhaps doing a couple of weeks of daily blogging to get caught up with everything. I'd like to start off today's post with a fun story to share with you all. I've been a lifelong Nancy Drew fan, and this started from reading the classic yellow cover novels back in my elementary school days. I didn't own these books myself, and our local library didn't have very many of them. Thankfully I had the world's greatest aunt who owned a pretty large amount of the collection. She knew I was a total bookworm, and went digging in boxes in her basement to borrow her collection of these stories out to me, and from there, I was completely hooked on the Nancy Drew mysteries. If you happened to notice, I was actually absent from my blog on Monday which isn't usual for me. I'd talked last week about the crazy stuff going on at work, and how my hubby and I both ended up working a lot of extra hours, including having to cancel all the plans we'd made for my birthday. So because of all the craziness, when we finally came to a couple of days off, my hubby ended up booking us into a room at the mineral spa from Sunday to Tuesday, and it was a much needed break.
