Sabotage at Willow Woods by Carolyn Keene Review

 Hello Friends :)

I pray you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I'd like to start off today's post with a fun story to share with you all. I've been a lifelong Nancy Drew fan, and this started from reading the classic yellow cover novels back in my elementary school days. I didn't own these books myself, and our local library didn't have very many of them. Thankfully I had the world's greatest aunt who owned a pretty large amount of the collection. She knew I was a total bookworm, and went digging in boxes in her basement to borrow her collection of these stories out to me, and from there, I was completely hooked on the Nancy Drew mysteries.

I love the fact that new Nancy Drew mysteries are still being written to this day, and I've really been enjoying working my way through the Nancy Drew Diaries. I've reviewed a few of the other titles in this series, which you can find below, and today I'm here to share a review from another one of the titles in this series. Keep reading below for my full review.

Ever since George’s cousin Carrie Kim announced her candidacy for city council, along with her platform of building a new football field and a state-of-the-art sports complex, someone has been trying to sabotage the campaign!

Nancy has to go undercover as a member of the Green Club when she suspects they may be behind all of the mischief. When Carrie starts getting threatening notes and even some more sinister warnings, Nancy knows she needs to crack the case before someone gets hurt!

My Review;

Sabotage at Willow Woods is another fun and exciting installment in the Nancy Drew Diaries series, and I really enjoyed making my way through this quick read. Nancy of course has stumbled upon another mystery, and this time it directly impacts one of her best friends. George's cousin has decided to run for city council, but someone is determined to ruin her campaign. It'll take Nancy working together with her best friends to figure out what's going on, and hopefully save the campaign in the process.

So many of my favorite elements from the Nancy Drew novels are present in this one. A developing mystery, Nancy's friendship with Bess and George and her boyfriend Ned, a plethora of quirky suspects, and a quest for justice. I personally thought that the mystery in this one was pretty easy to figure out, but I still enjoyed reading through it, and the big shock for Nancy and her friends at the end when they finally figured everything out.

These books are a fun treat for adult Nancy Drew fans, and also a great way to introduce the beloved detective to younger generations. I only wish that they made Nancy younger in these books, as I don't think her actions really seemed believable for the age she's supposed to be.

A fun and nostalgic read, and I look forward to continuing on with series.

Final Rating: 3/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
