Love Finds You In Frost, Minnesota Review by Judy Baer

Hello Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Last month I participated in a Christmas in July Readathon, which you can find my wrap up here , and today I thought it would be fun to share with you all a review from one of the favorite books I ended up reading during the readathon. Love Finds You In Frost, Minnesota by Judy Baer: Source: Library Publisher: Summerside Press Publication Date: September 30th, 2013 Genre: Christian Fiction Series: Love Finds You Synopsis: When Jack returns home to Minnesota, he meets the town’s newcomer. She’s bubbly, beautiful . . . and his latest adversary. Considering that her name is Merry Noel Blake and she was born on Christmas Eve, it’s not surprising that Frost, Minnesota’s newest resident is crazy about the holiday. She has single-handedly convinced the entire town to help her turn Frost into a Christmas des

Christmas In July Readathon Wrap Up

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start, and that you're finding time to enjoy the last few days of July! If any of you saw from about a week and a half ago, I'd shared my TBR for the Christmas in July readathon I was taking part in. The readathon took place last week, and ended on Saturday, so today I thought it would be fun to share with you all of my results from said readathon. I'm going to list the books in the order in which I enjoyed them the least to the most, and I'll also mention which challenge I used each book for. One Day In December by Josie Silver: I had chosen this one for "a holiday themed read", and I'd heard nothing but great things about it. Unfortunately, my experience with this one was not the slightest bit positive, and it actually ended up getting a rare one star rating from me. You can check out my full review here. A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig: This particular title I chose

One Day In December by Josie Silver Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm going to be continuing on today with reviews for the holiday themed reads I read during the Christmas in July readathon I participated in this week. Unfortunately, the title I'm going to be reviewing on my blog today was not only the worst book I read during the readathon, but it's safe to say that it's also easily one of the worst books I've read this entire year. Are you curious as to why that is? Well then keep reading on and I'll tell you all about why this particular title was such a disappointment for me. One Day In December by Josie Silver: Source: Library Publisher: Broadway Books Publication Date: October 16th, 2018 Genre: Women's Fiction Synopsis: T wo people. Ten chances. One unforgettable love story. Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't e

The Killing Tide by Dani Pettrey Review

Hello Everyone :) How's your week going so far? Mine has been really amazing actually. I've been enjoying the Christmas in July readathon I'm taking part in so very much, and I'm also really enjoying the devotional I'm currently working my way through as well. I've been feeling a lot more inspired about everything lately, and I hope that's also coming across in my more recent blog posts. If you've been following my blog for awhile, then you probably already know that I love Dani Pettrey's novels. They're always deliciously scary, but always have a strong faith element at the core of the story, and that's a fact that's very much appreciated by this Christian book blogger. Her upcoming release was one of my most anticipated releases of 2019, and I'm so thankful to Bethany House for giving me the amazing opportunity to advance read this. Today I'm here to share with all of you what I thought about it! The Kill

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me today here on The Preppy Book Princess. I have a different kind of post for you all today. For the first time ever, I'm participating in a readathon, and I couldn't be more excited about it. A friend of mine on Instagram is hosting it, and it's going to be a Christmas In July themed readathon. You can check out her post about it here, and I invite all of you to think about joining in as I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun. It's going to take place from July 20th (tomorrow) and end of July 27th. There's six challenges to try and complete, and I'm very much looking forward to trying to finish many of the holiday stories that have been on my TBR list for quite some time. Today I want to share with you all of what books I plan on reading for each of the six challenges. First, there is a challenge that everyone participating reads a certai

Cold Day In The Sun by Sara Biren Review

Hey Guys! I hope you're summer is off to a great start, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. In case you didn't already know this about me, my all time favorite genre is young adult contemporary. I read lots of different genres, and love a lot of different genres, but my absolute favorite continues to be contemporaries aimed at the young adult audience. Today I'd like to share a review with all of you guys for a book that I completely loved the story, but have to mention that I can't completely recommend it either as the amount explicit language scattered throughout is beyond horrific. I've heard it mentioned a few times now that as more and more adults are reading young adult, that publishers and authors have decided to include more "adult" content within the genre. This honestly makes me so sad as one of my favorite reasons for reading young adult in the first place is that it did ha

Just Between You and Me by Jenny B Jones Review

Good Morning Bookish Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me here for another book review today on The Preppy Book Princess. In the last few weeks, I've talked about Jenny B Jones' There You'll Find Me a lot. It's without a doubt, my favorite read of the year so far, and I'm already rereading it. You can check out that review here. So with how much I'd loved and devoured the first book I'd read by her, I was really looking forward to diving into another one of her stories. I finished my second Jenny B Jones book last week, and today I'm here to share with you all what I thought about it. Keep reading if you're interested in seeing whether or not I thought it compared to There You'll Find Me. State of Lies by Siri Mitchell Review

Happy Thursday Everyone! I hope your week is going well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Do any of you guys have any special vacation plans this summer? My hubby and I do not, as work's usually really crazy this time of year, and as such, we usually end up taking vacations in the fall or winter rather than spring or summer. So since work's been crazy, and there's no vacation on the horizon for us, I've been spending a lot of my free time diving into really amazing books. I don't think I'd shared my happy news with my blog readers yet, but I recently received auto approval from Thomas Nelson on NetGalley, and let me tell you I have been taking full advantage of this amazing opportunity, and have been happily gobbling up many of their amazing reads. One such read is the one I'm here to review with you all today. :) State of Lies by Siri Mitchell: Source: Publisher (Thomas N
