Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber Review

 Hello Everyone :)

I hope today finds you all doing well, and I'm so glad you decided to stop by The Preppy Book Princess today.

I'm Kirby, and I love sharing my thoughts and opinions about the many books I read with you all.

One of my all time favorite authors is Debbie Macomber, and I've shared quite a few reviews of her books on my blog over the years.

It may be a little weird to be sharing a Christmas book review with you all in August, but I ended up being on the waiting list for newest title quite a bit past Christmas, and as such, I ended up reading it quite a bit after the season was over.

You guys know I quite often read Christmas books throughout the entire year, so it's probably not too shocking that I'm sharing a review of a Christmas book with you all when it's nowhere near Christmas.

However, on the other hand, if you think about the fact that fall is finally just around the corner, that means that Christmas is no longer that far away either so maybe it makes sense to be sharing it now?

Haha regardless I hope you'll all keep on reading below for my full review.

Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber:

Source: Libby App

Publisher: Ballantine Books

Publication Date: October 19th, 2021

Genre: Chick Lit/Women's Fiction/Clean Reads

Synopsis:

A special holiday wish list brings about hope, love, and second chances in this nostalgic novel from the queen of Christmas stories, #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

Lindy Carmichael isn't feeling particularly joyful when she returns home to Wenatchee, Washington, for Christmas. The man she thought was "the one" has cheated on her with her best friend, and she feels completely devoid of creativity in her graphic-design job. Not even carolers or Christmas cookies can cheer her up--but Lindy's mother, Ellen, remembers an old tradition that might lift her daughter's spirits.

Reading through a box of childhood letters to Santa and reminiscing about what she'd wished for as a young girl may be just the inspiration Lindy needs. With Ellen's encouragement, she decides to write a new letter to Santa, one that will encourage her to have faith and believe just as she'd done all those years ago. Little does Lindy know that this exercise in gratitude will cause her wishes to unfold before her in miraculous ways. And, thanks to some fateful twists of Christmas magic--especially an unexpected connection with a handsome former classmate--Lindy ultimately realizes that there is truly no place like home for the holidays.

In Dear Santa, Debbie Macomber celebrates the joys of Christmas blessings, old and new.

My Review:

I look forward to reading every one of Debbie Macomber's new book releases, but her annual holiday releases especially always hold a special place in my heart. It's become a yearly tradition to enjoy her new Christmas release, and I loved this sweet, heartwarming read that focuses around a young woman named Lindy who's looking forward to spending two weeks at home with her parent's for Christmas, especially after life has recently thrown her a lot of disappointments.

When her mom pulls out Lindy's old Santa letters to remind her of the things she wished for as young child, and the many ways that Santa comes through, Lindy ends up writing Santa a letter in the present. However, Santa is just for kids right, there's no way he'll be able to make her adult wishes come true.

Enchanting and nostalgic, Dear Santa was a lovely holiday romance that reminds us all to not forsake the things that are truly important in life. Debbie Macomber has written another heartwarming tale that pulls at the heartstrings and gives each reader a case of the warm fuzzies.

This is definitely a new favorite of mine by her, and I can't wait to see what story she has in store for her reader's for next holiday season.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
