Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books I've Added To My TBR List Lately.

Happy Tuesday Guys!

I've really been enjoying being a part of the Top Ten Tuesday weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. If you're not familiar with it, I highly suggest checking out the main page here:

The Broke and The Bookish

Today's topic, as you can tell from the title, is: Ten Books I've Added To My To-Be-Read List Lately.

Here's my picks:

1) Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira:

I found this particular book recently while browsing on goodreads, and honestly, this pretty much sounds like a booknerd's paradise to me. I can't wait to read this one.

2) Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks:

I used to be a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks' books, and although I've definitely got away from being so, there's something about this new novel of his that massively appeals to me, and I truly hope to get to read this one soon.

3) Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare:

I'd kind of I think forgotten just how much I love Cassandra Clare's books. I finished The Mortal Instruments and the first two books in The Infernal Devices quite awhile ago, and it wasn't until I recently finished Clockwork Princess that I've been dying to read more of her books. I'm definitely enjoying being back in the Shadowhunter world, and I truly hope to get to read this one soon.

4) Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey:

I found this book through a review on a book blog I follow, and I was instantly intrigued with how it combined regency times with espionage. It's a combination that I don't think I've read too much of before, and it definitely intrigues me.

5) The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine:

I haven't actually read anything by C.J. Redwine before, and honestly, I'm not really sure about what this one's about. I simply know that it's a fairy tale retelling, and the cover definitely has me interested in reading it.

6) Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan:

As far as fairy tales go, Rapunzel was always one of my favorites as a child. I'm pretty sure the only other Rapunzel retelling I've read was Towering by Alex Flinn, so I'm definitely excited to discover that Sophie Jordan's new book is a Rapunzel retelling.

7) Interference by Kay Honeyman:

A revenge plot, and a modern day twist on Jane Austen? Yes please! I need this book now. :)

8) Once Upon Now by the Wattpad authors:

Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the Wattpad Imagines anthology, I'm really interested in this new fairy tales one, and I definitely hope to be picking it up soon.

9) Rainshadow Road by Lisa Kleypas:

I only recently found out that Christmas Eve At Friday Harbor was part of a series, and as such, I now really want to read the second book.

10) Heartless by Marissa Meyer:

I'm not sure this one is truly a "recent" addition to my TBR list, but it's definitely the book I'm most excited about right now. I can't wait for this one to release, as I adore Marissa Meyer's books.

That's my ten picks for recent additions to my TBR list guys! Thanks so much for reading, and I look forward to reading all your posts as well. :)

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...

First Line Friday: Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake

Happy Friday Friends :) There's so many reasons I'm excited that it's once again Friday. I'm excited to be taking part in another edition of First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books , but I'm also excited to be featuring one of my favorite author's new releases for this week's edition. First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading, and today I'm going to be sharing from Mandi Blake's new book, which released last week. Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake: About the Book: They have unfinished business. She just can’t remember what it is. Camille Vanderbilt is headed back home to Wyoming with one goal: find her old best friend and give him a piece of her mind for ghosting her six years ago. She won’t let anyone stand in her way… until a deer runs into the road and causes her to wreck and forget almost everything. Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille cras...
