First Line Friday: The Fifth Avenue Story Society

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all having a great week, and that you're all looking forward to the weekend. For today's post, I'm happy to say that I'm finally taking part in another First Line Friday link up. It's been a very long time since I've taken part in this fun, weekly blog meme that is hosted by the lovely Hoarding Books . I'm hoping this year to have more time to participate in these again, and I thought today would be a great day to start off with it. If you're unfamiliar, First Line Friday is simply a way of sharing with other book bloggers the first line of the book you're currently reading. This week I'd like to share The Fifth Avenue Story Society by Rachel Hauck. Release Date: February 4th, 2020 About The Book: An invitation to join The Fifth Avenue Story Society gives five New York strangers a chance to rewrite their own stories. Executive assistant Lexa is eager for a much-deserved promotio

The Fifth Avenue Story Society by Rachel Hauck Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. About two weeks ago, I had my first one star read of the year. I was pretty disappointed that it happened so early into the new year. However, I followed that one star read with three five star reads, and that definitely made up for it. One of those five star reads I shared a review with you all for last week, and today I'd like to share a review of another one.  This title releases pretty soon, and I can't wait for you all to get the opportunity to read it. Greenglass House by Kate Milford Review

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for taking the time to join me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've so far finished fourteen books in 2020, and I'm especially excited to review one of my most recent reads for you all today. This particular novel was the perfect choice to read during the colder winter days, and I only wish I'd gotten it a little closer to Christmas. Oh well, it still fit to read it during the first few days of the year, and it was awesome to get to immerse myself in such a fun, middle grade story. Greenglass House by Kate Milford: Source: Library Publisher: Clarion Books Publication Date: August 26th, 2014 Genre: Middle Grade/Adventure Series: Greenglass House Synopsis: It’s wintertime at Greenglass House. The creaky smuggler’s inn is always quiet during this season, and twelve-year-old Milo, the innkeepers’ adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. B

Their Wander Canyon Wish by Allie Pleiter Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) I hope you all had a great weekend, and that your week is off to a great start. Unfortunately, the weekend for me wasn't as great as I was hoping it would be as there ended up being some drama at work that caused some extra stress. However, I was determined to not let it get me down, and continue to shine for Jesus even when situations make it more challenging to do so. One of my favorite things to do when I'm feeling down or upset from stuff like that is to curl up with a fantastic Christian Fiction title. They always help me to feel more uplifted and motivated, and quite often Love Inspired's are my favorites to turn to for this. Today I'd like to share a review with you all for an upcoming Love Inspired release that ended up being one of my favorites to date. I can't wait to share with you all what I thought of this heartwarming story. Their Wander Canyon Wish by Allie Pleiter: Source: Complimentary Copy Provided By The A

The Story Raider by Lindsay A Franklin Review

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week so far. You may have noticed that I didn't end up posting on Wednesday. Wednesday was actually my birthday, and I decided to take the day off from blogging and reviewing, in order to spend a nice quiet day with my husband and some of my family. Sometimes it's nice to spend birthdays quietly with the people love, and I'm glad I set the day aside this year to do that. However, now I'm back feeling much refreshed and ready to dive into more reading and reviewing. How has your 2020 reading been going so far? I personally set my 2020 goodreads goal at 115 novels, and while I will probably end up reading more than that, I'm also hoping to focus more on reviewing more of the books I read this year rather than just speedily going from one book to the next. For today's post, I'd like to share a review with you all for a much anticipated read for me. I'd read the first book in this series last

The Billionaire's Destined Bride by Mandi Blake Review

Good Morning Everyone :) I hope you all had a great weekend, and that your week is already off to a wonderful start. I apologize for my lack of posts last week. Unfortunately, it seems that once a year I end up with a really bad cold that flares my asthma up something fierce, and this year, it happened right at the start of the New Year.  I wasn't really up to writing or reviewing last week, and was feeling pretty awful. However, the one silver lining when I do end up that sick is that I have lots of time to concentrate on reading really amazing books. I finally had the chance to sit down uninterrupted with one of my most anticipated releases for this year, and I was definitely not disappointed. Bookish Christmas Haul 2019 :)

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you all had a great New Years, and a great start to 2020. Ever since I first started my book blog back in 2015, I've shared my Christmas book haul with all of you guys. This year I really went back and forth as to whether or not I was going to do one. I know a lot of people think they're tactless, and such, and I totally understand that.  After debating about it for the past week, I finally decided I was going to go ahead and do one anyways. I love looking back on these to remember when I received the books I own and such, and they're kind of just a fun post to get to do. I did decide however to only share the books and bookish items I received, as I felt it would be a bit much to go over each and every gift I received for Christmas this year. As always, I just want to state that Christmas is definitely not about the gifts. It's about the miracle that was the birth of our Savior, and celebrating Jesus. I in no
