The Matchmaker: An Amish Retelling of Jane Austen's Emma by Sarah Price Review

Good Morning Friends :) How is everyone doing today? I'm excited you've chosen to drop by The Preppy Book Princess, where I look forward to telling you all about amazing and not so amazing books. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then welcome back! If you're new around here, I'm Kirby, and I'm excited to have you joining me today. I'm an avid bookworm, who loves talking about books with fellow booklovers, and I love telling you all about the books I read here three times weekly on my blog. One of my favorite genres is Amish fiction, and within this genre, one of my favorite authors is the lovely Sarah Price. I love how her books are quite a bit different than the usual within this genre, and I always find her stories uplifting, original, and well rounded. I'm excited to share my review of another one of her titles within the Amish Classics series, if you'd like to check out my review of the first title in the series, you can do so using th

Love Finds You in North Pole, Alaska by Loree Lough Review

Good Morning Everyone :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've really been reflecting the past few days on the insane amount of evil that has to exist in our world. I've been spending a lot of time in prayer over the situations in Nashville and Mississippi, and my heart breaks for everyone who has been affected by these horrible tragedies. I'm also honestly sadly lamenting that winter is coming to an end. I'm personally not as a big of a fan of spring and summer because they always seem to bring about craziness at work, and grumpiness in so many people. However, there is something to love about each season, and I want to focus on finding that this year instead of only focusing on the negative. Are you looking forward to spring and summer? Or like me do you prefer the coziness of fall? Anyways, long winded into aside, I'm here today to share a book review with

Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer Review

Hello Everyone :)  I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. It's a perfect day for curling up with a great read, as it's cloudy, cool and it looks like we might even get more snow. I'm one of those weirdos that much prefers cloudy days to sunny days usually, as they make the perfect atmospheric time to read and stay inside.  How bout yourself? What's your favorite type of weather? If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you might have already heard me talk about my quest to find another really great secular young adult contemporary. I haven't had the best luck on this journey so far, as most of the ones I've picked up have unfortunately been full of objectionable content, or include characters I can't really seem to connect with. For today's review I'm here to share another young adult contemporary review with you all, and this one was a h

A Castle in the Clouds by Kerstin Gier Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I'm going to be sharing a few more young adult book reviews in the next little while than normal for me, but it's mainly because I decided to give a few titles within this genre another chance, just to see if I could possibly find any that might still be something I could classify as clean and still find enjoyable. Today's title had actually been on my TBR for quite some time, but I wasn't quite willing to part with 27.00 dollars to read it. Instead, I ordered it in at my library, and I was excited to dive right in. I'd previously really enjoyed Kerstin Gier's Ruby Red trilogy, and I was looking forward to giving another one of her books a try. Why I Loathe Sterling Lane by Ingrid Paulson Review

Good Morning Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Young Adult Contemporaries used to be my all time favorite genre. I gobbled them up as fast as I could find them, and it probably made up over half of the books I'd read in a year. However, in recent years I've really grown disheartened with this genre. Aside from Kasie West and a couple of others, I've found that they all seem to include unnecessary content, and have way more adult sexual stuff in them than ever needs to be included in a book about two teenagers. In the last couple of weeks, I've decided to give a few more of these books a try, in the hopes that I'll find one that fits within the guidelines I'm looking for. I'm planning to share a wrap up of them all in the weeks ahead, but today I'm going to share one of the individual reviews from a new to me author. Keep reading below for my

Hopefully Ever After by Beth Wiseman Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to join me (Kirby) here on The Preppy Book Princess for another book review. If I'm being honest, the past week was a little bit of a doozy around here! Work's been crazy, life's been crazier, and I'm so thankful that Jesus is always with me no matter the circumstances. To get a bit of an escape from all the craziness, I've been enjoying ending my evenings with devotionals with my hubby, and curling up with some great Christian fiction titles. I recently had the chance to read my first ever full length novel by one of the most prominent authors within the Amish fiction genre, and today I can't wait to tell you guys all about it. Keep reading down below for today's full review. All That it Takes by Nicole Deese Review

Hello Everyone :)   I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Is anyone else finding themselves burned out on picking up Christian fiction books that end up pretty much being anything but? I've grown so disheartened with the unnecessary content that's finding its way into Christian books these days, and it's definitely an alarming trend that I don't care for. That being said, when I find an author who continues to write wonderful faith based romances, I'm extra thankful and try to commit to making sure I take the time to read as many of their books as I can. One such author is Nicole Deese, and today I can't wait to share my review with you all of her most recent release. Keep reading below for my full review. Cast the First Stone by David James Warren Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I've mentioned quite a few times on my blog just how much I adore time travel books. However, there aren't a lot of time travel books within the Christian fiction genre. Anytime I discover a new one, I'm always excited to dive right in. When I found out that Susan May Warren was writing a time travel police detective novel under a pen name with two other authors, I was instantly intrigued. I couldn't wait to give it a try, and I was thankful there was a copy within the provincial library that I could request. I'm going to preface this one by saying it ended up not being at all what I was expecting, and you can keep reading down below for my full review to find out why that was. Orchidelirium by E.B. Roshan Review

Hello Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. If I'm being honest, I've had a really rough week. I got some devastating news this week, and it's been pretty rough trying to put a smile on and pretend that everything's fine at work while I've been feeling like this. I've been extra thankful this week that Jesus allows us to lean on Him during these hard times, and I've also been thankful for the amazing books that I've had the opportunity to read to take my mind off of things. One of those books was a fun, upcoming release by a lovely lady that I've had the chance to connect with through my book blog, and I can't wait to tell you all about this title.
