To The Uttermost by Kristina Hall Review

Hello Friends :) I pray you're all having a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. We're currently in the midst of a massive heat wave where I live, and it's getting to honestly be a bit too much. We're expected to be in this particular wave for at least the next two weeks, so I've been spending quite a bit of time in the air conditioning in the afternoons curling up with a book. I've been enjoying reading outside and going for walks in the evenings once it's cooler, but yeah I don't foresee myself spending a lot of time outside until this dissipates a bit. You may not know this about me but I really love Christian historical fiction with a western setting, and yet, I really don't get a chance to read too many books in this genre. When an author reached out to me about reading and reviewing her newly released Christian fiction historical title with a western setting, I defini

No Good Tea Goes Unpunished by Bree Baker Review

Good Morning Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.   A little while back, I shared my review of the first book in Bree Baker's Seaside CafĂ© Mystery series. You can read that review here . I really enjoyed it, and I've honestly enjoyed most of the books she's published whether it be under her real name or her various pen names. I was looking forward to diving into the second book in the series, and today I'm excited to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it. A Thousand Words by Mandi Blake Review

Happy Sunday Friends :) I hope you're all having a great weekend, and enjoying today as the Lord's Day. Since today is Sunday, that means we've finally come to the end of my week of daily blogging, but I've got an awesome review to share with you all to cap off a fantastic week of books. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you probably already know that Mandi Blake is one of my all time favorite authors. I love gobbling up every single story she chooses to release, and in fact, she's got another releasing next month which I couldn't be more excited about! However, today's review is especially exciting as this particular title is the prequel novella to her series that started it all. It's actually already released, and you can find it along with eleven other amazing new stories from beloved Christian authors in the Love's Treasure Box Set. I enjoyed this beautiful story so much, and I hope you'll all take the time to grab this bo

Happy Saturday Friends :) I pray you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I can't believe we're already almost to the end of my week of daily blogging. I'm thinking I may do this for another week in July sometime, and I've got some ideas floating around for that. In the mean time though, I'm excited to share with you all a review of one of my most anticipated releases for this year.  Last year I read and loved Tammy L Gray's Love and a Little White Lie ( review here ), and I couldn't wait to read the next book in the series. Today I'm excited to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it. Apple Cider Slaying by Julie Anne Lindsey Review

Hello Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. I hope you all had a great day yesterday, and that you're all ready for the weekend. Yesterday, my hubby, my mom and I ended up going out of town for a few hours. We had a lovely lunch at one of my favorite bistros, and then my hubby dropped my mom and I off a the mineral spa to soak for a couple of hours. We finished the day with supper at a sandwich and coffee shop on the way home, and I was so thankful for the quality time I was able to spend with two of my favorite people.  A couple of years ago, I'd read and reviewed the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery duology by Jacqueline Frost, and I loved them. You can check out those reviews here and here . I kept checking to see if the author had written anymore books as I truly adored that series, and was disappointed she'd never written anything else. Imagine my surprise when a c

Not by Sight by Kate Breslin Review

Hello Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Life seems to have been a lot of the same lately, and honestly, a lot of the times the days seem to run right into each other. It's sometimes hard trying to stay positive during all the darkness and hatred that's becoming more and more rampant each day in our world.  However, more than ever, I'm thankful for the amazing grace of our Heavenly Father, and how being in His Word is always uplifting. I'm also thankful that even though the COVID restrictions have made things a lot more difficult, they've also provided me with a lot more time for reading. As such, I've been able to try out authors that I've been wanting to for quite some time, and today I'd like to share a review with you all from a new to me author. Out of the Embers by Amanda Cabot Review

Hello Everyone :) How have you all been doing? Stress seems to be mounting everywhere lately, and sometimes that can get tiring. One other thing I'm noticing more and more every single day lately is just how much more rampant evil is becoming in our world. I've done quite a few devotions lately that have been talking about the garbage in, garbage out mantra, and I know personally just how important this truly is. I've always loved Christian and clean fiction, but it didn't always make up the majority of what I was reading, and that has completely changed for me. Very rarely do I now choose to read anything that isn't from one of these categories, and it's helped me to do a much better job of guarding my heart and mind. As well, guys I can't even begin to tell you how many amazing authors I've had the chance to try for the first time when I stopped wasting my reading time on inappropriate content. One of those authors was Amanda Cabot. I had the opportu

There's something about this beautiful island that completely intrigues me, and I'd love to be able to visit there someday. This is part three of my series highlighting books taking place on this island, and I hope to share one more of these posts with you soon. Come Back to Me by Jody Hedlund Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I hope you all had a great weekend, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Before I dive into the review however, I want to make a little bit of an exciting announcement. I've been reading a lot of books over the last few months, and as such, I have a lot of saved book reviews on my computer that I never seem to get around to posting. With how many review books I share, I don't always get a chance to share my saved reviews over the span of my three posts a week. That's why I've decided that for this week, I'm going to be doing daily posting. So instead of my usual three posts, this week you will all get seven! I haven't done daily posting since Blogmas 2017 I think? So this is going to be a fun thing to do this week, and I hope you'll all enjoy. Let's go ahead and dive right into Monday's review. Make You Feel My Love by Robin Lee Hatcher Review

Happy Friday Friends :)   I pray you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Are you planning on doing anything special for Father's Day? My husband and I will be joining my mom and stepdad and possibly a couple of other family members for a trip to a farm that we all really enjoy. They feature a goat walk, petting zoo, delicious restaurant and bakery, and many other fun things. We haven't been here since last fall, so we're all really looking forward to getting to spend the day together there. Today, I'm looking forward to sharing with you all my review of Robin Lee Hatcher's upcoming book release. Her 2020 release ( How Sweet it Is  my review here ) ended up being one of my favorite books of the entire year, so I couldn't wait to dive into this one. Keep reading to see what I ended up thinking about it. Make You Feel My Love by Robin Lee Hatcher: Source: Publisher via NetGalley Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date:

Live and Let Chai by Bree Baker

Hello Friends :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you probably know that I love cozy mysteries. However, I've been struggling lately within this genre to find ones that are actually clean. I remember back in the day when more of these titles were clean than not, but however that's not really the case anymore. That's why I really enjoy Julie Anne Lindsey's books, and I recently had the chance to read the first book in a series that she writes under one of her pen names, Bree Baker. Her content is still pretty clean, while still being a really great mystery, and today I'm excited to share this review with you all. Live and Let Chai by Bree Baker: Source: Libby App Publisher: Poisoned Pen Press Publication Date: July 10th, 2018 Genre: Adult Fiction/Cozy Mystery Series: Seaside CafĂ© Mystery Synopsis: The first book i

The One You're With by Laura Denton Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray you've all had a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. My hand is still feeling pretty sore (I talked in a previous post here about this ), and because of that, I'm struggling a little bit with keeping up with reading and reviewing.  However, I'm definitely trying to still do my best, and today I'm excited to share a review with you all from a new to me author. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) A couple of weeks ago,  I finally did a thing guys. I finally read Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I've been hearing about this book for ages, but I'd never got around to reading it. I decided I desperately needed to change that fact, and while I do think this read is probably not appropriate for anyone under the age of eighteen, it's an absolutely amazing testament to the transforming power of God's love, and I can't wait to talk about it today with you all. I will however say, that I don't expect my review to ever be able to do this book justice. It's been read and reviewed thousands upon thousands of times, and I'm not even trying to compete with that.  However, I do hope that even one reader stopping by my blog will feel compelled to give it a try, and that would honestly be good enough for me.  God is sooooo good guys, and I love amazing stories that remind us all of that fact.
