February 2017 TBR List!

Happy Monday Guys!

This post was actually supposed to go up on Friday, but unfortunately I caught the nasty flu virus that has been going around at work on Thursday night, and as such, I spent Friday almost entirely in bed.

Oh well, it's not quite February, so I think I'm still plenty in time to share my February 2017 TBR List with all you guys!

I'm not sure if February will be as great of a reading month for me as January was, and that's partly because I'm taking on a lot of extra responsibility with work, and I'm not sure how much time I'll actually have for reading. In fact, I'm actually on my way out the door here soon to lead training sessions for the rest of the day. However, reading is definitely my favorite pastime, and I know I'll be taking advantage of any spare time I have to check some great reads off of my TBR list, and these are the main ones I'm hoping to get to.

1) Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare: I've heard nothing but great th…

Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite Underrated Books

Hey Guys!

It's been a very long time since I participated in a Top 5 Wednesday Post, and I really want to try and get back into doing them again.

If you're not familiar with it, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme that was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey on YouTube, and is now moderated by Sam from Thoughts On Tomes, also from YouTube. The group communicates through goodreads, and if you're interested in learning more about it, or becoming part of the group, here's the link

Today's topic of "Favorite Underrated Books" is one that I definitely wanted to participate in, as I love getting to talk about some of my favorite lesser known books.

Here's my five picks:

1) Play With Me by Anna Katmore:

As everyone who reads my blog knows, I'm definitely the queen of reading contemporaries. I adore YA contemporaries, and have probably read more than I could ever even count. This self published one was one that I happened to stumble across as a free book on K…

5 Series I Don't Plan On Finishing

Happy Monday Guys!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is looking forward to a new week to make things happen. :)

This week's going to be a little crazy for me as unfortunately I came down with some nasty cold virus that's been going around work, and it's caused me to slightly lose my voice. This wouldn't be normally so problematic, but I have a meeting to lead at work tomorrow, and I'm praying my voice will be back to normal by then. As well, our kitty, Katsa, has been fighting off an upper respiratory infection, and we've been in and out of vet appointments trying to get her feeling better. We're both praying we'll see a huge improvement in her soon.

For today's post, I wanted to talk about five book series I have no intention of finishing. As a lot of you probably already know, I'm not a huge fan of DNFIngs on books, and I used to be that way with series too. However, I've gotten to the point lately that I've just decided life's…

Book Review: Still Life by Dani Pettrey

Hey guys,

I planned to have this review up for you all first thing this morning. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go as we plan, and I ended up spending a couple of hours at the vet with my poor sick kitty.

Thankfully she appears to be on the mend, and so I'm ready to sit down and share my thoughts with everyone on a book I had the opportunity to read last week, by one of my all time favorite authors, Dani Pettrey.

I was provided with a digital advanced reader's copy of this novel by the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

Most Anticipated Reads Book Releases Of 2017!

Happy Monday Guys!

I hope everyone's week is off to a great start, and that you all had an awesome weekend. I can't believe we're already in to the third week of 2017! Seriously where have the last few weeks disappeared to?

Yesterday was my 29th birthday, and to put it mildly, it wasn't the world's greatest day. Unfortunately some drama ended up getting dragged into it, and I ended up sick at the end of the day, but regardless I was very thankful for the quality time I was able to spend with my hubby and my family.

Probably one of my favorite parts of my birthday was honestly just getting to spend some downtime with my mom. She's an avid curling fan, and so she was watching a curling championship on TV, (don't ask me which one, cause I'm not a sports fan in the slightest bit and I would have no idea what it was called), and while she was doing so, we took some time just to have a nice chat, and it had been quite a while since we'd done so. I was talkin…

Series I Finished In 2016 :)

Happy Friday Guys!

I hope you're all having a great week, and looking forward to the weekend.

Sunday is actually my birthday, and I'm so looking forward to honestly doing nothing but curling up with a great book and a delicious cup of tea.

I have so many books on my TBR list for 2017, and I'm definitely looking forward to spending my birthday getting to read some of them.

I've noticed lately that a lot of people are posting about the series they finished in 2016, and I thought it seemed like a really fun topic, and so, that's what I decided to talk about on my blog today.

I actually went into this post thinking there hadn't actually been too many series I did finish last year, and so I ended up honestly being quite surprised with how many books ended up on this list after I finished checking my goodreads.

1) The Lonestar series by Colleen Coble:

A Christian murder mystery series that focuses around modern marriages of convenience, and this was definitely one of my fav…

Book Review: Bluff by Julie Dill

Hey Guys!

I've been reading so many great books the last couple of weeks, and I'm definitely behind in posting reviews for them.

So today I'm going to take the first steps towards getting back on track, and I'm going to post my review for Bluff by Julie Dill.

January TBR

Hey Guys,

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

Life's been a little crazy around here lately, and so I feel like I haven't been posting as often on my blog as I'd like too.

This morning I happened to have a chunk of free time, and so I decided I wanted to share my updated January TBR list with all you guys.

I shared some of my January TBR with you guys back during Blogmas, which you can find here

However, I ended up finishing most of those books in December actually, and so my TBR for this month ended up changing quite a bit.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte: This is the only one that stayed the same from my previous January TBR post. I haven't quite got around to finishing this one, but I definitely hope to do so soon.

Whispers, Echoes, and Sunsets all by Robin Jones Gunn: I originally only had the first book in the Glenbrooke series, Secrets, on my January TBR list, but since I finished that one in December, I've now decided to try and get to the next three as …

Christmas Book Haul 2016!

Hey Guys!

I hope you're all having a great week, and looking forward to the weekend.

I know I had said a few posts ago that I planned to do a "What I got for Christmas Post", but I changed my mind and decided just to post a Christmas book haul like last year instead.

My family all decided this year to do small gifts for Christmas, as we just decided none of us needed to be buying big gifts this year, and we wanted to focus on other aspects of Christmas than just gifts this year.

However, that meant I received many many small presents, and I didn't want this post to be so long that anyone would be bored reading it, and since books were mainly what I received anyways, I did just decided to share the books with you all, and not everything else.

I want to preface this by saying that I did receive quite a few books for Christmas this year. My lovely TBTB Santa sent me a few, my best friend bought me a couple, my family bought me a couple, and my hubby took advantage of the Boo…
