The Gold in these Hills by Joanne Bischof Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you've all had a great week, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. This weekend is going to be a fun one for me as I've got some exciting things going on. Tomorrow I'm actually going out of town with my best friend for a bestie day where we plan to do some shopping, try some fun restaurants, and maybe go for a walk in a beautiful park. Then Monday I'm going to be heading out to the lake for a couple of days to spend some time with my parent's and my nephew. I'm especially excited that my aunt is going to join us for a day, as I haven't got to see her much since COVID started. I'm also excited to get to read some great books while I'm at one of my favorite places, and I hope to finish a book or two while I'm gone. Today though, I'd like to share a review for an upcoming book release with you all. Joanne Bischof's The Lady and the Lionheart (revi

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I want to thank you all for following along on this Christmas in July series on my blog, and today I'm excited to get to bring to you all the tenth and final post in the series. I hope you all enjoy my last Christmas in July review, and that you'll all end up taking a chance on this upcoming release. I truly adored it, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. A Nancy Drew Christmas by Carolyn Keene Review

Hello Friends :)   How have you all been doing lately? I'm happy you all chose to drop by The Preppy Book Princess today, and today I'm really excited to share a fun book review with you all. For the ninth day of Christmas in July, I've chosen to share my review of a really fun middle grade novel with you all. I've loved mysteries for as long as I can remember, and a large part of that is probably due to how many Nancy Drew, Boxcar Children and Bobbsey Twin books I literally inhaled while growing up. I recently had the chance to read a fun, newer released Nancy Drew novel, and I truly adored it. It took me right back to all the Nancy Drew mysteries I'd gobbled up as a child, and I knew I wanted to review this one on my blog for you all. I recently finished one of her much beloved Christmas novellas, and today I can't wait to share with you all what I thought about it. The Sound of Sleigh Bells by Cindy Woodsmall Review

Good Morning Friends :) I'd like to take a quick moment and let each and every one of you who chooses to read this know that I appreciate you. I'm so thankful that you took some time out of your busy day to spend a few moments with me here on my blog, and I'm beyond grateful for that. If this blog makes even one person smile today, then I'm going to feel like it made a difference, and that I was able to shine a light for Jesus. He's always here for all of us, and I know I need to do a better job of remembering that, especially during the hard times. For today's review, I have another Christmas book to share with you all. Carrying on my crazy tradition of reading Christmas reads during the spring and summer heat, I happened upon a beautiful story of redemption, God's grace and finding love, and I know that any of you guys who are also fans of Amish fiction are going to also adore this one! I previously reviewed the second book in this series and you can fin

Prayers of a Stranger: a Christmas Journey by Davis Bunn Review

Hello Friends :) I pray you've all been doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review. Welcome to the second day of Christmas in July book reviews here on The Preppy Book Princess. I have to say I've been feeling a little disheartened with the book world lately. Even Christian publishing isn't staying as clean as it once was, and I'm saddened by some of the content that's making it's way into so many different books nowadays. I especially can't stand the way that romance and the like is being pushed on young kids in their medias, and can we honestly not just let kids be kids. The book I'm going to share with you all today I actually picked up because the synopsis sounded like it was going to be a lot about the Lord working in the couple's life, and I was looking forward to reading something that put more emphasis on the faith element for a change. There's been a lot of negativity in my life lately, and I figured

Slashing Through The Snow by Jacqueline Frost Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I come to you today with an exciting book review, and also an exciting announcement. I've decided that I'm going to do a Christmas in July series on my blog, and I'm pretty excited about it. For the next ten days I will be sharing daily reviews of some amazing Christmas reads, including a couple of new releases for this year, and I can't wait to tell you all about them. I had so much doing a week of daily blogging last month that I decided to go ahead and do it again this month, and it seemed only fitting to theme it around Christmas in July. Also, why not take an extra step this month and do it for ten days instead of just seven! I hope you'll all stick around for the next ten days, and I'm going to kick things off with an upcoming cozy mystery release that I adored and I'm sure you all will too. If you'd like to check out my reviews of the previous books in the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series, simply click on the links belo

Partners in Lime by Bree Baker Review

Happy Friday Friends :) I pray you're all having a great week, and that you are all looking forward to the weekend.  Mine is going to be pretty uneventful as my hubby is working the whole way through, it's still ridiculously hot outside, and we're currently under an air quality warning because of smoke blowing in from forest fires.  My heart goes out to everyone affected by the wildfires, and I'm continuing to pray for all of you and all of the emergency responders. I'm asthmatic, so I don't really plan on leaving the house much this weekend, and will instead be curling up with a couple of great books. I ended up getting to go away for the day yesterday with my hubby to the city, and we had a fun time doing some shopping which included a visit to my all time favorite bookstore which is a lovely Christian bookstore. I've been continuing to work my way through Bree Baker's Seaside CafĂ© Mystery series, and I recently had a chance to read the upcoming book
