What I Got For Christmas 2017

Happy Friday Everyone :)

I hope you're all looking forward to the weekend, as I know I sure am.

I'm also looking forward to work slowing down a bit, as the last couple of weeks around the holidays was crazy busy.

Today I'm finally getting the chance to share my What I Got For Christmas post. In previous years I've only shared what books I got for Christmas, which you can find here and here. However, I really really enjoy reading everyone else's "What I Got For Christmas" posts, and watching those type of YouTube videos, so I decided this year I'd like to share my whole Christmas haul with all of you guys.

Of course, I'd like to preface this post by saying I'm not trying to brag. I simply enjoy reading and watching these type of posts and videos, and I wanted to do my own this year. As well, Christmas is definitely not about presents, it's about the birth of Jesus, and love, and spending quality time with friends and family. I was so thankful for all the amazing presents I received from my amazing friends and family this year, and I'm so excited to get to share everything with you guys today.

First, I received this beautiful 2018 creative year planner, and some stickers to go with it. I'm in love with this already, and I can't get over the gorgeous stickers my hubby was able to find me on Etsy with quotes from Elf, Riverdale and Gilmore Girls.

It's always fun to receive food items for Christmas, as it's one time of the year you don't have to feel as guilty for eating junk. While I'm not supposed to consume a lot of caffeine, occasionally I let myself live a little, and I was really excited to receive a variety pack of my favorite hot chocolate mixes, and some Butterbeer tea that I can't wait to try. As well I got white chocolate lindors which I love, seashell chocolates, and peppermint patties. I also received garlic coconut oil which I'm excited to try cooking with, and Yum Earth gummy bears which are always delicious. To go with the butterbeer tea, I also received the running press tea lovers gift set in my stocking, which was awesome cause after I'd purchased one for my #tbtbsanta gift this year I'd really been wanting one for myself as well.

I received a beautiful Cinderella fragrance set, a lavender bath set which I know will get lots of use from me, three face masks, a hair mask, my favorite essence eye shadow primer, a wet'n wild lipstick, two of my all time favorite Aussie three minute miracle conditioner, a pumpkin spice cider shower gel, my fave shave gel, an amazing loreal hair detangler product, a Hemp lotion which I can't wait to try on my super dry hands, and then my bestie made me a homemade room fragrance spray with essential oils and it smells absolutely amazing!

My sister gave me a super comfy pair of fleece lined leggings, and a nautical inspired apron which is basically life for me lol. I also received an adorable lemon print apron, a set of Betsey Johnson socks, and this hilarious Riverdale shirt that I can't wait to wear.

This lovely home sweet home sign is going to get hung above my vanity, and I can't wait to display my jewelry on this standing display case my friend got me. As well, I love dangly earrings so these were definitely a fave, and I love my new beautiful bracelets, and the new hair accessories that my sister in law gifted me this year.

I basically know nothing about Wonder Woman in the slightest, but I've been really fascinated by her lately for some reason, and so this gift was basically perfect for me. Not only did my hubby get me the movie, that I can't wait to watch, but he also managed to find me a Wonder Woman pancake maker! I mean what's not to love about this?

I can't wait to hang up this adorable yoga kittens calendar that my dad and stepmom gifted me as I love cats, and my Betty Cooper candle, fairy lights and new bookish mug will all hopefully be showing up in a Bookstagram photo really soon.

One of my absolute favorite gifts this year was this beautiful custom made Christmas ornament that my mom had made for me that pictures a kitty and the heart has my cat's name on it. I literally almost cried when she gave this to me as it was the sweetest gift ever. My mom and stepdad also purchased my sister and I these matching gorgeous Bradford Exchange watches that are inspired by the Christian "Footprints" poem, and I can't get over how beautiful they are. As well, one of my biggest surprises this year was when my mother in law gifted my sister in law and I charmed aroma candles! We'd both been wanting one of these for a very looong time, so we were both extremely excited to each receive one.

My hubby got the best ever hubby award this year when he presented me with my bigger gift, and it was a kindle paperwhite. I absolutely cannot wait to use this, and I can't even describe how amazing Neil was to purchase this for me this year. My Kobo quit working a couple of months ago, and I've been having to read all my Netgalley books on my phone which is definitely harder on the eyes, and I'd been planning on buying myself a new e-reader, so Neil completely blew me away with this one.

Another big surprise for me this year was when I opened my gift from my stepbrother and sister in law and it was the whole Angelic Letters series by Henry K. Ripplinger. I've really been intrigued by these books lately, and I definitely wanted to read them but was completely blown away that I received them for Christmas. I can't wait to dive into these hopefully really soon.

Next, I received A Heart's Danger and A Heart's Promise by Colleen Coble, and Waterfall by Lisa T Bergen which is definitely one of the books I was most excited about. I also received All My Love, All My Life by Ruth Ellen Wallace, which I already knew I was getting as earlier in December Neil and I had visited a festival where she happened to be signing copies of her book, and he ended up purchasing her book and devotional journal for me at that festival. It's exciting to have another signed edition of a book, and I'm really looking forward to diving into this devotional this year.

I adore Rachel Hauck, and I was blessed to receive The Wedding Shop and A Royal Christmas Wedding. I also received A Promise Kept by Robin Lee Hatcher, and two more of the novella collections in the Year of Weddings series.

I was beyond excited to receive the Riverdale volume one comic book collection, and although I don't typically read comics or graphic type novels, I will definitely be jumping into this one soon. And the only non-inspirational adult fiction novel I received for Christmas this year was To Have and to Hold by Helen Chandler.

I love how my hubby has come to know my reading preferences so well that he often purchases books for me that I didn't ask for, simply because he thinks I'll like it, and he usually does an awesome job of doing so. The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey was his pick for me this year, and while I'd never heard of this one before, it definitely sounds amazing, and I can't wait to dive into it, As well, I was so excited to have received two more 10th anniversary editions of some of the Gallagher girls novels, and I only need to collect one more to have the whole set now.

Always and Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han was another one of the books I was most excited for, and I'm really hoping to get to this one really soon. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson is one of my favorite books, and I love having my own copy of it now. Ashes To Ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian completes my Burn For Burn trilogy, and I've never read When We Collided by Emery Lord, but it's been on my tbr list for quite some time. Lauren Morrill is another author who's books I really enjoy, and I loved The Trouble With Destiny, and I'm really looking forward to My Unscripted Life, especially since it features one of my all time favorite tropes-the famous person falling for the regular person.

Lastly, I was thrilled to get to add three more Kasie West books to my collection, as I really want to own all her books since she's one of my faves, and I love all three of these beautiful stories.

As well as all these amazing goodies, I did receive a few gift cards to Indigo, which I can't wait to use on the books that have been on my TBR list for a long time, and also one to Eclipse which I can't wait to buy some warmer winter clothing with.

I didn't include the gifts that my #tbtbsanta gave me in this post, as I already devoted a different post to that opening, which you can find here, and I also didn't want this post to be even longer than it already is.

I'm so thankful for all of the amazing gifts I received this year, and I thank you guys all for reading!

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you all again on Monday!

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
