2019 Reading Resolutions

Happy New Years Eve Everyone :)

For today's post, I'd like to talk about what my reading resolutions are for 2019.

Reading Resolutions are something I like to try and set every year, as it gives me goals to work towards with my reading.

This year's are pretty simple, but I think they are also all going to be enjoyable goals to try and meet.

Read 100 Novels:

My first reading resolution is to set my goodreads reading goal at 100 novels. While this is way less than I usually set it at, I'm hoping this year to spend more time reviewing the books I read, and I think a hundred novels will be a comfortable goal for accomplishing this.

Read one C.S. Lewis novel other than the Chronicles of Narnia:

I've been wanting to read some of C.S. Lewis' non-fiction titles for the last few years, but I've never actually gotten around to it. I've heard he has a brilliant way of representing the Christian walk with Jesus, and I'm very interested in hearing what he has to say.

Read all the Jane Austen titles that I have yet to read:

I love Jane Austen, but up until 2018 I'd actually only read Pride and Prejudice. In 2018, I read and loved Northanger Abbey and Sense and Sensibility, so I very much want to read more of her books in 2019.

Earn my 50 review badge from NetGalley:

2018 was also the year where I really started to utilize NetGalley more, and I'm so grateful for the many amazing titles I got to read and review. I'm hoping to read and review enough titles to earn the 50 review badge in 2019.

Read more of my own books:

In previous years I've been really bad at constantly borrowing books, and not really reading what's on my own shelves. I feel I did better at this in 2018, but I still do have a long way to go, and here's to hoping that I'll accomplish more of this in 2019.

Finish some of the series I've been procrastinating on:

There's quite a few series I have yet to finish that I started quite awhile ago, as I loved them so much I didn't want to see them come to an end. In particular, I'm thinking about The Lunar Chronicles for this one.

Read self-published authors:

Lastly, I'm hoping to read some more books by self-published authors as I always love getting to give their books a proper chance.

Are you guys setting any reading resolutions for 2019? And if you set any for 2018, did you accomplish the ones you did?

Thanks so much for reading guys!

About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often.
