Hello Bookish Lovelies :)
I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you chose to take the time to stop on by The Preppy Book Princess for another book review today.
In the last couple of years, I've given myself the reading goal of trying to read more classics.
There's so many classics out there that I've read and loved, and in fact, many of my favorite titles come from within these genres.
However, there's so many classic/older well loved authors that I've had yet to get to, and I'm embarrassed to admit that Agatha Christie was one of these.
She's been an author I've wanted to try for quite sometime, and I had asked my hubby for some of her titles for Christmas. I really knew nothing about any of her particular titles, so I was happy with whatever he decided to go with.
It was finally time to dive into my first ever Christie novel, and today I'm excited to share with you all about the experience.
Keep reading down below for my full review.

My Review:
It's kind of embarrassing that it's taken me this long to finally get around to reading my first Agatha Christie novel. I basically knew no specifics of her books going into this one, but I was intrigued by the synopsis, and I'm always up for a good mystery.
I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I ended up loving this wonderful political/espionage mystery, and I read the majority of it in one sitting. The characters were witty and well developed, the mystery plot is kind of all over the place but in a good way as it kept everything entertaining and fun, and I loved how the plot revolves around trying to keep information and secrets from falling into the wrong hands.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this was amazing. I loved everything about this one, and I ended up surprising myself by piecing together a large portion of the mystery (including the villain) way before the final reveal happened in the story.
My first experience with an Agatha Christie was everything I could have hoped for, and I can't wait to read more of her books in the very near future. I keep hearing that this particular title is not a typical Christie novel, and that intrigues me even more to want to give more of her books a try.
Final Rating: 5/5.
Definitely a new favorite!
Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)
