Favourite Books I Read in 2015

Hello all my fellow readers. Today I would like to do my 2015 reading wrap up, by listing the best books I read in 2015. I know a lot of people do this particular type of post as "the best 14 books of 2014, the best 15 books of 2015", and so on, but I had way too many favorites to wheedle it down to only 15. Also, you may noticed I list a lot of books that aren't pictured, this is simply because I don't own copies of all the books that are on this list. Without further adieu, here is the list of books that turned me into a total fangirl in 2015. These are in no particular order, I loved them all :)

Of Poseidon by Anna Banks: I completely fell in love with this whole story. Having grown up fascinated with the idea of mermaids, I'm always on the lookout for mermaid type books, and this is by far my favorite one I've ever read. I can't wait to finish the rest of this trilogy.

Rock and a Hard Place by Angie Stanton: This was such a sweet story. Anyone who knows me knows I always fall completely in love with stories about celebrities, royalty, famous people, etc, falling for us average people, and this one did not disappoint. Once again, I can't wait to finish the rest of this series.

Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck: I've read a lot of books surrounding mythology, paranormal type situations, but I haven't read many that are about Indian mythology, like this book is. I completely adored both the main characters, and this series is one of the ones I am definitely most looking forward to finishing in 2016!

Diamonds in the Rough by Michelle Madow: I absolutely adore Michelle Madow. In my opinion she is the perfect example of a fangirl, and this definitely shows in her writing. I adored her first trilogy which she self published, can't wait to finish this trilogy, and I already have plans to pick up the first book in her new self published trilogy that releases next month, titled The Elementals.

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch: I completely love love love this series. It kind of reminds me of a cross between The Hunger Games and the Grisha trilogy, and yet is completely unique at the same time.

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins: I absolutely adored the main character in this novel. I completely loved how Rachel Hawkins wrote a kick butt character who still knew how to be prim and proper. I highly recommend this one.

Magnolia by Krista Cook: One of my all time favorite contemporaries, and probably my all time favorite opening line in a book ever. I'm not going to list it here, cause you really should check this book out for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Chasing Impossible by Katie McGarry: Four words say it all ABBY AND LOGAN'S STORY!!!!!! I love love love Katie McGarry novels, and the fact that this one was included for free when you bought Nowhere But Here, was even more amazing.

Whatever Life Throws at You by Julie Cross: An adorable contemporary with an added edginess of it being about a forbidden relationship

The Ruby Circle/Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead: I was so sad to finally see one of my favorite series of all time come to an end in 2015. I absolutely loved the Vampire Academy series, and I felt the same way about it's spin off the Bloodlines series. I was so sad to say goodbye to characters that meant so much to me, but I really think that she did a fabulous job of wrapping it up nicely, and I can't wait to explore new books from Richelle Mead in the future.

The Mother Daughter Book Club series by Heather Vogel Frederick: I absolutely adored this whole series. Although I know they're middle grade novels, I found the idea of four girls hosting a book club with their mothers to be absolutely adorable, and I really enjoyed most of the characters.

Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas: I have an embarrassing confession to make. I am one of the few booknerds alive who has not read the Throne of Glass series. So many people have recommended it to me, and I will definitely be getting to it this year. Now after reading this novel by her, I'm even more excited to do so.

The Heir by Kiera Cass: The Selection series remains one of my favorite series of all time, and I was so excited when I found out she was giving us fans two more books beyond the original trilogy, and it definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion.

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen: Sarah Dessen is an author that I have loved since her very first novel. That Summer. unfortunately I was slightly disappointed in her last novel, The Moon and More, but this one was completely amazing and is definitely one of my favorites by her.

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski: I loved this novel so much, I unfortunately didn't care for the sequel nearly as much, so I'm hoping I will love the last book in the trilogy when it comes out this year.

Second Chance Summer/Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson: I absolutely adore this woman. Her novels are sweet and adorable, and yet turn me into an emotional mess when I read them. I wish I had discovered her books years before I did.

The Lux Series by Jennifer L Armentrout: I haven't read too many books about aliens, and I definitely loved this one. Especially Katy and Daemon's relationship.

Little White Lies by Katie Dale: I loved how the mystery in this novel completely blew me away, and how it kept me guessing right until the end.

The Gallagher Girls and The Heist Society series by Ally Carter. 2015 was the first year in which I really read anything by Ally Carter, and I absolutely loved everything I picked up by her. I'm looking forward to continuing on with her Embassy Row series in 2016!

The Mara Dyer series by Michelle Hodkin: This trilogy was completely mind blowing, and in my opinion was so unique. I'd never read anything like it before.

The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall: I can't wait for the next book in this series to release!! I still have a book hangover from this novel!

The Vampire Stalker by Alison Van Diepan: READ THIS BOOK!!!! This is without a doubt one of my all time favorite books, and I can't recommend it enough. It's about a fangirl who finds out that her favorite book character may not be fictional, and it's such an amazing book I can't even describe how I feel about it.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo: Loved this one, hopefully I'll feel the same way about the rest of the trilogy.

The Reason is You by Sharla Lovelace: This book completely blew away my expectations. It's an adult contemporary with a supernatural twist, and I literally read the whole book in one sitting just because I couldn't bear to put it down. I highly recommend giving this one a try!

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith: This is one of the cutest contemporaries I've ever read, and I seriously hope the rumors are true that it's soon to be a movie as well :)

There you have it. That completes my looooong list of all my favorite books I read in 2015. Thanks for reading, and I'd love to hear what everyone else's favorite books were they read last year.

See everyone in my next post.

    1. This is one series that I actually have yet to get around to finishing. I read the first three books, but never read the prequel novella, book four or the new book. I'm hoping I'll get around to doing so eventually. :)

About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often.
