Blogmas Day 2: My Christmas Wishlist

Happy Second Day of Blogmas Everyone :)

I know that Christmas is definitely not about gifts, it's about the birth of our Lord and Saviour. And I'm also definitely the type of person that cares more about giving rather than receiving. However, I still think sharing a Christmas wishlist is a really fun thing to do, and I know I always love reading these type of posts on other's blogs, so I decided to include one in this year's Blogmas as well.

Here's the things I'm secretly hoping for this Christmas season :)

1) Honestly, the number one thing I want for Christmas this year is to simply have time to enjoy the season with my husband, family, and friends celebrating the true reason for the season, and just enjoying each other's company. If I have that, I'll be completely satisfied with Christmas.

2) Fairy Lights for Instagram pictures:

I keep seeing so many beautiful Bookstagram pictures using fairy lights, and I'm definitely wanting a set of my own.

3) A 2018 Planner, like one of the creative year ones from Michaels:

4) A Bookish or Riverdale Candle from Etsy:

I especially like these ones:

5) A new warm and fuzzy sweater for our cold Canadian winter, like this cute one from Vero Moda:

6) Lastly, I'd love to have some new books, as those are always my favorite gifts to receive. There's so many I'd love to see that I'm not going to list them all here, but I'd especially love to see some new YA fiction, or inspirational fiction books :)

And that's my holiday wishlist for 2017 guys! Thanks so much for reading, and I'll see you all again tomorrow.

Hallmark Book To Movie Adaptations For Christmas 2017 :)

Good Morning Guys, and Welcome Back to The Preppy Book Princess.

I'm Kirby, and as always, I'm excited to be hear with y'all!

Is anyone else's morning off to a bit of a rough start? I just managed to break my husband's favorite glass, and on top of feeling awful over doing so, I just got the fun job of cleaning up itty bitty pieces of broken glass all over my kitchen floor, and mopping up the milk that seemed to work its way into every crook and crevice in my kitchen.

Oh well, nothing to do about it but move on, and hope and pray that the rest of the day can only go uphill from here.

So considering this morning's events had me not in the greatest mood, I thought today's blog post would be the perfect way to cheer me up.

If any of you aren't familiar with my blog, on top of loving books, cooking, and preppy fashion, I'm a huge fan of made for TV Christmas movies, with the Hallmark Channel's almost always being my favorites.

Once Upon A Prince: Book To Hallmark Movie

Happy Thursday Guys :)

As most of you know, I usually don't post on Thursdays, but I had to make an exception this week.

I recently discovered that one of my favorite inspirational novels is becoming a Hallmark Channel original movie, and I couldn't wait to share the news with all of you guys.

That book is, as you can tell by the title of my post, Once Upon A Prince by Rachel Hauck:

Synopsis from goodreads:

Once Upon a Prince, the first novel in the Royal Wedding series by bestselling author Rachel Hauck, treats you to a modern-day fairy tale.

Susanna Truitt never dreamed of a great romance or being treated like a princess---just to marry the man she has loved for twelve years. But life isn't going according to plan. When her high-school-sweetheart-turned-Marine-officer breaks up instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.

The last thing Prince Nathaniel expects to find on his American holiday to St. Simon's Island is the queen of his heart. A prince has duti…

Marry Me At Christmas by Susan Mallery Review

Happy Monday Everyone :)

And Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians.

We actually had our family thanksgiving at my mom's yesterday, as that worked out better for everyone's schedules, and it was a wonderful day. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday after Christmas of course, and I always enjoy just having some down time for visiting, eating delicious food, and watching holiday movies.

And speaking of holiday movies, we're literally so close to the start of Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas. And this last week, I finally got the chance to read Susan Mallery's Marry Me At Christmas, which is of course being adapted as one of Hallmark's Christmas movies this year.

I really adored this book, and it's definitely one of my favorites in the Fool's Gold series. I definitely wanted to share my thoughts about it with all of you guys, so let's go ahead and quickly review it.
