Book Tag: The Courtship Book Tag

Hello All My Fellow Readers :)

It's Monday, and I hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Unfortunately ours was a bit rough, as our kitten had to have an operation on Wednesday, and has to wear a cone for a week. She's not the slightest bit happy about it, and we've been feeling so bad for her, especially watching her trying to sleep with it on. I know we'll all be happy come Thursday morning when she can finally take it off :) I can't stand to see my poor angel suffering the way she's been.
Also, my hubby and I both have caught the colds that have been running around our workplaces, so this weekend was not too fun of a time, but oh well it's officially four weeks until we leave for Vegas for RT BookLovers, and I know we're both anxiously awaiting this vacation :)

I decided to do something a little different from my normal reviews today. I've always loved watching tag videos on YouTube, and reading them on other people's blogs, but I've never done one myself. So today I'm going to change that fact, and I'm going to go ahead and do the "Courtship Book Tag." I actually don't know who originally started this tag, but I found it on

                                   www.lifeofafemalebibliophile.com,

and it looked like a lot of fun, so that's what I'm going to be doing today.

Phase One: Initial Attraction: A Book You Bought Based On The Cover:

When I first saw this book on the shelf at Coles Bookstore, I was instantly intrigued by the beautiful cover. Her dress is gorgeous, Big Ben is in the background, and the whole cover had a mysterious element to it. Obviously, after picking it up and finding out it was about time travel, I was even more intrigued, but my reasons for first picking it up were entirely because of the beautiful cover :)

Phase Two: First Impressions: A Book That You Got Because of the Summary:

I was instantly intrigued when I read the summary for this one. I loved the notion about it being a baseball player falling in love with his coach's off limits teenage daughter, and I'm so glad I ended up buying this one because it was a fantastic contemporary, and I loved Annie and Jason's relationship.

Phase Three: Sweet Talk: A Book With Great Writing:

I adore Jennifer E Smith's writing style, and this is by far my favorite book by her. She's always so amazing at word building, and really creating an amazing setting in the minds of her readers that makes you feel like you're right there. I really hope they do this book justice with it's rumored movie adaptation.

Phase Four: First Date: A First Book Of A Series Which Made You Want To Pick Up The Rest Of The Series:

Right from the first page, this book had me completely hooked. I had originally just borrowed the first two from the library, but after I finished Frostbite, and found out there was a waiting list for the third book, I ran out and bought the whole box set because I just knew I was going to love the rest of this series, and I needed to own my own copies, and I was definitely not disappointed, this remains one of my all time favorite book series.

Phase 5: Late Night Phone Calls: A Book That Kept You Up All Night:

This was definitely the first book that came to mind when I saw this question. I was so completely obsessed with this whole series that I literally could not put it down, and I ended up reading the whole trilogy in less than two days, finishing one of them at three in the morning. I definitely ship Conrad and Belly, but I'm not gonnna say anything about it, cause I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

Phase 6: Always On My Mind: A Book You Could Not Stop Thinking About:

I know Twilight has gotten a bad rap from a lot of people, but I personally still adore this series, and i literally could not get it off my mind when I finished it. Edward and Bella are still one of my all time favorite couples, and I loved the whole Cullen family. I thought the imprinting thing was a tad strange, but other than that I adore this series, and they are still some of my most beloved books. I still curl up and read these, and love them just as much, despite how many times I've read them.

Phase 7: Getting Physical: A Book Which You Love The Way It Feels:

There's something about the way that this amazing book feels that honestly had me wanting to repeatedly touch it, which is probably a tiny bit strange, but oh wells at least it was an amazing book that I felt this way about.

Phase 8: Meeting The Parents: A Book Which You Would Recommend To Your Friends and Family:

It only makes sense that for this one, I choose my all time favorite book. I adore Stephanie Perkins writing, and honestly this book was so amazing that I literally talked about it to anyone who would listen after I finished it. I convinced my book bestie to read it immediately after I finished with it, and she loved it too. I continue to recommend this amazing contemporary to anyone and everyone, and I'm currently trying to convince my husband that if we ever end up having a son, that we should definitely name him Etienne. Haha unfortunately that's not going so well, but I highly recommend this book.

Phase 9:  Thinking About The Future: A Book Or Series You Know You Will Reread Many Times In The Future:

I could honestly have included a ton of answers for this category, including all the ones I've already mentioned in this post, but I'm going to go ahead and choose one that I've already read an embarrassingly number of times, and will continue to do so in the future:

This book was so completely mind blowing, that I literally read it three times during the two week period I borrowed it from the library, and I've read it many, many times since then. Kate McGarry is one of my all time favorite authors, and I absolutely cannot wait to meet her at RT Booklovers next month. Rachel and Isaiah's story was so moving, and completely unlike anything I was expecting, and ahhh I already want to go read this again after talking about.

Phase 10: Share The Love: Who Do You Want To Tag?

I'll start by tagging my hubby from www.bookishrealms.blogspot.ca to do this :)

I also tag anybody who thinks this tag looks like fun, and wants to give it a try. If you decide to do this tag, please let me know as I would love to read your answers :)

Thanks for reading everybody! I will see you all on Wednesday for another Top 5 Wednesday Post!

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
