RT Booklovers Convention Excitement

Hello All My Fellow Readers :)

I can't believe it's already March. That is so exciting in so many ways. Why you may ask? Well,

because that means that NEXT MONTH I will be at the RT Booklovers Convention in Las Vegas.

If you missed my post about getting to attend this convention, and what it's all about, you can find it here:

Since RT is coming up so fast, I thought that today I would go ahead and share some of the things I'm most excited about attending at this convention :)

Probably the thing that I am the most excited about for the entire convention is the "YA You're Never Too Old For YA" party that is being thrown by Colleen Houck and Stacey Kade. I can't wait to meet other adults, like myself, who are still enthralled with YA, and of course I can't wait to meet the amazing ladies throwing the party, and all the author fabulous authors that are attending :) This is an event that I will definitely be prioritizing on my RT Agenda.

The "Sweet Romance Coffee Break", is another event that I am super excited for. Anyone who's read my blog knows that I am a big fan of inspirational fiction, and this morning event is being thrown by some amazing inspirational fiction authors, and I can't wait to meet them, and hear about their new books.

I'm also extrememly excited to get to visit Club RT. Club RT will be in it's own room, and there will be several authors at a time hosting small, more intimate book signings, as well as there will be promo alley, where readers can enjoy swag from numerous authors, and enter your name in the gift basket raffles generously donated by many of the authors attending RT. I already know that Susane Colasanti, Amy Plum, and Kelly Fiore are all going to be signing here, and I would love the chance to meet them.

The Avon readers party is also an event that I am super excited for. There's going to be many amazing YA authors signing here, including Kiera Cass and Victoria Aveyard, and I've heard from many people who've attended RT in the past, that this event is always a favorite. :)

Of course I'm also excited for the giant book fair. While I'm sure it's going to be mass chaos, since there's going to be several hundred authors signing in one ballroom, I absolutely can't wait to be a part of it, and there is some amazing authors on the signing list that I am super excited to meet.

Lastly, I'm excited for a good majority of the evening parties, most of which I'll talk about in my next post, but today I wanted to mention how excited I am for the Cirque Du Punk Party. This party sounds absolutely amazing, and I'm currently in the process of planning my costume for it.

As you can see, there is so much going on at RT that it's going to be hard to pick and choose the things I wanna see and do, but I know it's going to be a busy, and amazing six days and I'm getting more excited every day as the convention grows closer.

Thanks for reading everyone. I'll be doing another RT post soon :)

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
