Miracle On 34th Street: A Storybook Edition of the Christmas Classic

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I know I don't usually post on Thursdays, but I'm here to do so today for two main reasons:

1) Unfortunately, I'd caught a nasty bug that was going around work last week, and it really knocked me down. I've missed several of my regular posting days simply because I didn't feel well enough to do so. Since I'm finally starting to feel better, I really wanted to get a new book review up for all of you guys today.

2) Today is a really special day, and that's because today, September 20th, 2018 is the day that The Preppy Book Princess officially turns three years old! I feel my blog has come a long way from what is was on its opening day, and I'm so proud of what it's become. I want to thank you guys all for sticking with me on this fun, bookish journey, and I think today's post is the perfect one to celebrate such a big milestone for my blog.

I know it's only September, but I'm honestly already getting excited for Christmas. While fall is my favorite season, and I enjoy every single moment of it, I definitely still enjoy starting Christmas preparations extremely early, and in fact I've already done a chunk of my Christmas shopping.

So with me being Christmas crazy, it should come as no surprise to anyone that I'm always on the lookout for new Christmassy themed stories. Usually this is in the form of actual novels, but I also love reading and collecting Christmas children's storybooks as well. I've never actually done a children's book review on my blog before, but when I had the chance to advance read the upcoming picture book release of Miracle on 34th Street, I knew it would be the perfect choice for my first children's book review. And what could be a better choice for my third anniversary post, then posting my first ever children's book review.

My Review:

Miracle On 34th Street has always been one of my favorite Christmas stories, and I couldn't wait to see how it was adapted for the first time into a children's picture book. This beautiful storybook perfectly brings the beloved story to life in it's vivid illustrations, classic story line, and it's emphasis on Christmas truly being about believing and the spirit of giving. I'm so thankful that this beloved story will now be able to touch this generation and future generations to come, and I can't recommend it enough. I'm sure this will become a household favorite every Christmas, just like the beloved movie has. This is definitely the perfect book to get kids or kids at heart into the holiday spirit.

Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thanks so much to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the opportunity to advance read this.

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process.
