First Line Friday: All The Stars

Hello Everyone :)

I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're currently enjoying a wonderful book for this weekend.

For today's edition of First Line Friday, which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books, I'm excited to share the first line from an upcoming release by one of my favorite authors.

All The Stars by Mandi Blake:

About The Book:

Gaining her trust won’t be easy. Earning her love will be nearly impossible.

Leah Manning is working to get back on her feet after her ex-husband disappeared one night, leaving her to raise their infant daughter alone. When a trip to a hardware store has her literally falling into the arms of its handsome owner, his charms are hard to resist. But he’s a stranger, and, to her, that means he can’t be trusted. Can she learn to let her faith be stronger than her fear?

Brian Matthews has never met a stranger. A friend to everyone he meets, he can’t understand why Leah is determined to keep him at a distance. He only wants to help, but she can't accept that he only has the best intentions. It’s a good thing his love is patient.

Leah isn’t ready to let the love she feels for Brian override years of fear, and he’s tired of spending lonely nights playing songs on his guitar to fill the silence. What will it take to show Leah that Brian is the answer to her prayers?

All the Stars is book five in the Unfailing Love series, but the books can be read in any order.

My Thoughts:

I've honestly loved each and every title in the Unfailing Love series, as I love how each title highlights a couple with a broken past who needs to learn to let go and let God. I love how strong the faith element is in each title, and this one was no exception. It's also full of many swoon worthy moments, and the female protagonist has the most adorable daughter who really adds another element to an already amazing story. I really enjoyed this one, and can't possibly recommend it enough.

First Line:

"Leah shifted onto her side under the kitchen sink and scratched her neck."

What book are you currently reading? Leave the first line in the comments below, and then hop on over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating this week.

Have a weekend everyone :)

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the author to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not required to give a positive review.

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
