Genre: Small Town Romance/Clean Romance/Contemporary

Series: Blueberry Point Romance

Synopsis:

She closed the book on romance after their first date fizzled. He’d love to rewrite their story if she’ll give him another chance.

Librarian Cora Martin spends her days immersed in books at Broman County Library, but she has yet to find her own love story. When her boss assigns Cora to oversee the author visit of her literary crush, she wishes her dream task didn’t involve working with Evan, the handsome yet reclusive guy tending Dog-Eared Books across town.

Reluctantly overseeing his sister’s bookstore while she travels, software engineer Evan Hollis bides his time in Hendricks. His one and only date with librarian Cora wasn’t exactly a highlight of his stay in town. After all, he declared himself a non-reader in the first fifteen minutes—and who admits that to a librarian?

When Evan's opportunity for a do-over arrives in Hendricks in the form of literary sensation Renn Stone, he’s ready. Renn’s first stop: Dog-Eared Books for a signing, which Cora promised to help Evan coordinate. Will this be Evan’s chance to start a new chapter with Cora, or has she taken him out of circulation for good?

My Review:

This is honestly such a bittersweet review for me to write. I've loved every single one of D.M. Malone's books that I've been blessed enough to read, and I love how she's able to write clean and sweet without compromising on the plot or the romance. Ever since my first visit to Hendricks, I've adored this small town and it's charming cast of characters. So it's not surprising that I'm not quite ready to say goodbye. I think Blueberry Point is one of those series that could have had a hundred titles, and I still would have been just as excited to return. However, I do know that all great things eventually must come to an end, and I'm happy to say that the author definitely gives readers the send off to this series that they've been waiting for.

As someone who is a big fan of "bookish" books, I loved that this one focuses around an extrovert librarian who had a disastrous first date with the town's temporary reluctant and quiet bookseller. When a big name celebrity author announces a visit to Hendricks, Cora and Evan find themselves thrown together once again. Cora's not sure about spending so much time with him when their first chance at love was nothing short of a disaster. Evan, on the other hand, is definitely still interested in pursuing a second chance with Cora, but how could she possibly ever take notice of him when her favorite author, Renn Stone, is soon in the picture.

Heartwarming, heart wrenching, and swoon worthy, Love, Lies and Literature was everything I've come to expect from one of D.E. Malone's wholesome romances. I always find myself breezing through her titles pretty quickly, and this one was no exception. The characters were quirky and adorable, the romance was slow burn and gave the reader all the feels, and I appreciated how realistic the entire story felt from beginning to end.

I'm sad to finally say goodbye to this town and it's characters, but I can't wait to follow this author's new stories in her upcoming small town series later in the year.

Final Rating: 4/5.

I truly adored this one, and not only do I recommend it to any fans of clean, small town romances, but I honestly recommend the entire series. I guarantee you won't be disappointed if you choose to pick it up.

Thanks so much to D.E. Malone for allowing me to read and review this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! I pray you all have a wonderful rest of your week :)
