A-Z About Me Tag

Hey Guys,

I've been scrolling through a lot of tags lately, as you all know how much I love doing them, and I stumbled upon two different versions of an A-Z tag.

First, I saw the A-Z About Me Tag on ClockWork Bibliophile's blog  and I discovered the A-Z Book Tag post on Habitat for Happiness' youtube channel.

I've decided I definitely want to do both of these tags, and so today I'm going to go ahead and do the A-Z About Me Tag.

A) Age

I Turned 29 in January of this year! I feel like i'm getting so old guys, but for the most part, I'm really happy with the way my life is right now.

B) Book I'm Currently Reading:

Yours Truly by Heather Vogel Frederick. I love her cute, middle grade reads, and I'm really enjoying the second book in her Pumpkin Falls series.

C) Chore You Hate:

Ugh the vacuum and I do not see eye to eye at all. I actually don't mind doing most housework, but I think partly because we have a black cat who likes to shed fur all over my hardwood so I'm constantly vacuuming to clean up after her, I've really come to hate vacuuming with a passion.

D) Dessert You Love:

This could probably include lots of different things, but my favorites are pear pie, any cheesecake that's not chocolate as I definitely have a cream cheese problem, and good ole ice cream

E) Essential Start Your Day Item:

My Bible, My vitamins, and sadly, my Iphone.

F) Favorite Author/Book

For Book I'd definitely have to say Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, but my all time favorite author is Debbie Macomber.

G) Gold Or Silver:

Definitely silver. I rarely wear gold, and when I do it's usually white gold.

H) Height:

5 feet, nine and a half inches. I was always the tallest kid in my class growing up.

I) Instruments You Play:

The Piano and the Keyboard, but I haven't done so in a looong time.

J) Job Title:

I'm actually not sure what you'd consider my actual title, but I run the training program at the restaurant I work at, as well as handling a bunch of the paperwork and the human resources side of it. As well, I do the accounting for my hubby's business, and numerous other odds and ends he employs me to do.

K) Kids:

Not yet, but we're hopeful that it will happen soon :)

L) Living Arrangements:

My hubby and I bought our first house in 2015, and we love having the extra space for the two of us and our incredibly spoiled cat, Katsa.

M) Most Overused Word/Phrase In Your Vocabulary:

I actually have no idea what to include here. I don't feel there's one word that I use any more than any others.

N) Nicknames:
Usually my family calls me Kirbs, a bunch of the guys I used to work with used to call me Skinny Minnie because of my Disney obsession, and I don't think anyone wants to know the more embarrassing ones I used to be called as a child.

O) Overnight Hospital Stay Other Than Birth:

Yes, unfortunately. I've had numerous several day stays thanks to a problem I used to have that they kept thinking was my appendix.

P) Pet Peeve:

People that are snobby and/or conceited. Especially when they did nothing to gain their social status themselves.

Q) Quote I Like:

There's so many, but one of my all time favorites is from Stephanie Perkins in Isla and The Happily Ever After:

"A Blank canvas has unlimited possibilites."

R) Right or Left Handed:

Right.

S) Siblings:

Lol I could almost write a book for this one. Three biological: my older sister April, and two younger brothers, Justin and Elliot. My mom got remarried fifteen years ago and so I have three older stepsiblings: Trevor, Trent and Tanya. My Dad has been with his fiance for ten years, and so I also have two younger stepsiblings: Shae Lynn and Rylan.

T) Time You Woke Up Today:

8 am, thanks to our neighbors snowblower.

U) Unique Thing About You:

Probably my Disney obsession. Most ppl my age don't get it, and it was definitely even more unique when I was a teenager.

V) Vegetable You Love:

Almost all of them, but my favorites are cauliflower, peas, onions, spinach, lettuce, and broccoli.

X) X-Rays You've Had:

Numerous ones because of pain I mentioned above, and also, several of my lungs during my asthma diagnosis.

Y) Yummy Food You Make:

I love cooking, and so I could include lots of things here but I'mg going to go with apple cider chicken, spanish rice, and alfredo pasta bake.

Z) Zodiac Sign:

Capricorn.

And that's the A-Z facts about me guys. It was fun getting to share some details about myself with all of you, and if any of you have ever done this tag, I'd love to read it!

Thanks for reading and I'll see you all in my next post.

This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. The photo was taken by me with my Iphone.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

Happy Tuesday guys! I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish, and here's the link to the main page if you're interested in becoming a part of it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one. First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after: 1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling: I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago. She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with. 2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academ...
