YA Releases of May 2017

Guys why does it always seem to happen that the most amazing books release while you're on a book buying ban?

I've been on a book buying ban since Christmas and my birthday, as I received so many incredible sounding books for both that it seemed ridiculous to go by more for awhile.

As well, my hubby and I are doing a "living below our means" challenge that we've been working on since Christmas, in order to pay down a bunch of our debt. While it's definitely been challenging, we've made so much progress and I can't wait to accomplish our goal in a couple of months, and be able to get back to buying books.

And I can guarantee you that all the ones I'm going to mention today that are releasing this month will be the top ones on my list to pick up come that day!

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas:

While I have yet to read A Court of Mist and Fury, I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I can't wait to continue on with this series. ACOMAF is already on our bookshelf, so I'm hoping it will be on my one of upcoming monthly TBR's, and then I can move onto this one as soon as I'm able to pick it up.

Flame In The Mist by Renee Ahdieh:

I have not actually read her Wrath and the Dawn series yet, but it's been on TBR list forever. And this new release of her's I've heard so many good things about already, that I just know I have to read it ASAP.

Windfall by Jennifer E Smith:

Jennifer E Smith is one of those authors in my opinion that couldn't write a bad book if she tried. I don't even know what this one's about, and yet it's still at the top of my books I need to pick up ASAP list.

Textrovert by Lindsay Summers:

I first read this quirky, adorable contemporary on Wattpad under it's original title The Cell Phone Swap, and I loved it! I can't wait to pick up the published version and see how it compares to Lindsay's original story.

Always and Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han:

Lastly, I of course have to mention the conclusion to Jenny Han's Lara Jean trilogy. I was one of those people who was extremely excited when she announced that she'd be writing one more book in this series that she hadn't originally planned on. I've loved Jenny Han's novels ever since I first picked up The Summer I Turned Pretty back in 2011, and my opinions stayed the same ever since then. I'm beyond belief disappointed that I'm missing meeting her at RT Booklovers this year, but I'm holding out hope that I'll get to meet her one day soon, and tell her just how much I love love love her books. :)

Those are the May releases I'm most excited about guys! I'd love to hear which ones you're the most excited about, as there's so many amazing ones releasing this month.

Thanks so much for reading, and I'll see you all in my next post.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: The Joy of Falling

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you've had time to curl up with some great books. This week, Lindsay Harrel's newest book released, and I loved it when I had the chance to read and review it. I'm excited to feature it for this week's First Line Friday post which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books. First Line Friday: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Today I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for First Line Friday. First Line Friday is one of my favorite weekly memes, and it simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. I've had a lot of extra reading time on my hands lately because of all the social distancing, and as such, I've been able to read a lot of the titles that have been sitting on my shelves for quite some time. Today's book is one of such titles, and I'm happy that I finally found the time to get to it as I'm really enjoying it so far. All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant: About the Book: Kat inspected rows of the same old cupcakes. They seemed to blink back at her, as if they knew she was capable of so much more. Kat Varland has had enough of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. At twenty-six years old...
