Mandie and the Graduation Mystery by Lois Gladys Leppard Review

Hello Bookish Friends :)

I hope you're all having a great week!

Last year, I started a reread of the entire Mandie series. I hadn't actually read every title as a child, and I wanted to take the time to read the entire series this time around. I finally finished the original series last week, and so today I'd like to share my review of the final title in the original Mandie series.

My Review:

It's bittersweet to have finally reached the end of the beloved Mandie series by Lois Gladys Leppard. It's been a long time coming, and it's finally here; Mandie is finally ready to graduate from the Misses Heathwood's School For Girls. As with any Mandie title, a mystery arrives on the way to graduation. Someone is causing mischief for Celia and Mandie and even worse, Celia's application is denied for the college that the two of them have jointly applied to.

As Mandie works towards her graduation from school, she reminiscences about the life circumstances that brought her to the Miss Heathwood's school in the first place. It was a nice treat to have all of Mandie's friends gathered together in the last title, as it gave readers one last visit with the entire Mandie cast.

I can happily say that Lois Gladys Leppard did her beloved characters justice, and I thought this last title was a beautiful send off to the series. It had me feeling nostalgic and slightly emotional as I followed Mandie and her friends along for one last hurrah.

While I have had some issues with Mandie's character and her sometimes outrageous behavior over the years, I really love this series overall. I think it's a great series for young Christian girls, and it remains one of my favorites. I'm definitely sad to come to the end of it, but I'm happy to have one last Mandie title to look forward to, New Horizons.

Final Rating: 4/5

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing.
