Vegas For RT BookLovers: Day Six Recap

Happy Monday Everyone! Unfortunately, the weekend is over, and it's back to work, but I'm excited to finally be getting towards the end of my RT recaps, so that I can finally post my awesome haul from there. There will be only be one more recap post after today, so I'm going to go ahead and talk about day six at RT, which was the day I had been the most excited about! Saturday April 16th, 2016: Our original plan for today had been to get up at eight or so, and make it in line for the giant book fair about 9 am. I knew that there would already be a huge line, but we were okay with that, as all full convention attendees got into the book fair at 10:30, whereas it wouldn't open for the day pass people until 11 am. Unfortunately on Friday night, we had a group of women check into the room beside us that literally kept our whole hallway awake until four am with their screaming, and drunken chatter. Security was called several times by people in our hallway, but they ...

Friday Reads: May 13th, 2016

Happy Friday All My Fellow Readers. :) You'll once again be getting double posts from me today, as I earlier posted another RT recap, and now I'm here to do another Friday reads post, which simply means that I will be sharing with you all what books I'm going to be reading on the weekend. 1) Reawakened  by Colleen Houck: The first book I'm going to be reading this weekend is Reawakened by Colleen Houck. I've previously really enjoyed the first book in her Tiger's Curse series, and although I'm only about a quarter into this book, I'm already enjoying it, and will most likely be finishing it this weekend. 2) The Rancher's Christmas Proposal by Sherri Shackelford: I love the Love Inspired novels, and I really usually enjoy the historical ones. My hubby bought me this one for Christmas, and I haven't had a chance to get to it yet. Since we literally got snow in my hometown the day before yesterday, reading a Christmas book seemed fi...

Vegas For RT BookLovers: Day Five Recap

I'm so excited that it's officially the weekend, and that this long work week is finally over. :) I'm also excited to finally be getting to the end of my recap posts, as there should only be two more short ones after today. So let's go ahead and get started on my day five recap! Friday April 15th, 2016: I had a pretty ambitious schedule all planned out for today, but in the end I ended up skipping out on a bunch of it, strictly because of how crazy the crowds were, and you basically needed to be in line an hour early for everything. The first event of the day was the Sweet Romance Morning Coffee Break, which was one of the events I'd been the most excited for, as I love inspirational fiction. I decided to dress up this morning, so that I didn't have to change before the Berkley blogger buzz later on. On the way to the breakfast, I ended up running into Kristen Golden from Harper Collins Christian Publishing, and we had a really nice visit, and she...

Top 5 Wednesday: Characters You Are Most Like

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's time for another Top 5 Wednesday Post, and this week's topic is: Top 5 Characters You Are Most Like. For anyone unfamiliar with Top 5 Wednesday, it's a weekly meme that was started by Gingerreadslainey on youtube, and is now being hosted by Sam from ThoughtsOnTomes. Here is the link to the goodreads page for anyone who's interested in joining, or just finding out more about it: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday I actually found this week's topic to be ridiculously hard. Lol it definitely would have been easier to pick characters that I wish I were like, as that list could have gone on and one, but here are my five picks: 1) Kat from the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout: Kat and I definitely share our love of books, and the need to want to tell everyone else around us about the books we're reading. I also love how the relationship Kat shares with her mom reminds me so much of my mom and ...

Vegas for RT Booklovers: Day Four Recap

Happy Monday Everyone :) I hope you all had a great weekend. I planned to have this recap up over the weekend, but unfortunately we had an inspection at work today that took a lot of preparing for ahead of time, and I ended up working extra hours, and on my day off, so I literally had no time to blog. I am here today though, and I'm ready to post my next recap, so I can be on my way to getting these finished. Here is my day four recap: Thursday April 14th, 2016: Today started out a lot later than our previous days. The event I was most excited about for the entire convention was Colleen Houck and Stacey Kade's YA You're Never Too Old For YA reader party that was happening at 11:15. So far all of the YA events had been extremely busy, and so we decided to forego going to the first events, in order to be in line for this one early. I was planning on getting in line about thirty to forty minutes early, but Neil insisted after how bad the lines had been for the previous...
