Happy Monday Everyone :) I'm not gonna lie, I find myself dragging a bit today. First off, it's still rainy and cold where I live in Saskatchewan, and I've literally been trying to take blog and bookstagram pics for over a week, but have honestly had no sun to do so. As such, I've had to keep delaying posts I had planned, and going with others instead. Secondly, I attended a really fun birthday party for one of my co worker's daughters last night, and it was a lot of fun, but I left completely exhausted as it went pretty late, but I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend. Thirdly, today is actually supposed to be my day off, but I have to conduct a three hour training session on a roll out of a new program at work, and so because of all this, this morning I'm kind of just taking it easy. It's been a long time since I last posted a book review, and it's definitely time to rectify that. Last fall I had the privilege of reading and reviewing Wild Montana Skies by Susan May Warren through Netgalley. The first in a new series, it appealed to me on the grounds of it being an inspirational novel set in Montana about a search and rescue team. Like really, what wasn't to love about this premise? Unfortunately, while I did really enjoy it, it didn't quite blow me away the way I was expecting it to, and you can read that review here. Despite not enjoying the first one as much as I had expected, I was still really looking forward to reading the second book, and since I missed out on it while it was available on NetGalley, I went ahead and ordered it from the library, and got ready to dive back into the world of the Montana PEAK search and rescue team. Happy Wednesday Guys! I hope you're all having a great week so far. Mine has honestly been really long already, but it's been an amazing week nonetheless. If you remember me telling you all in an earlier blog post ( here) The Saskatchewan government had cut major funding to the whole provincial library system, and as a result library programs all over were being forced to shut down, and certain rural libraries were in danger of having to do the same thing. Petitions and Protests were called to help show our premiere just what our local libraries mean to us here in Saskatchewan, and guys I can't even begin to express my excitement that it worked!! The Finance Minister has admitted that they made a mistake, and the library budget has been reinstated! On top of being ecstatic that the library will be here for future generations to love the same way that I have for so many years, it always gives me hope that there's still a good number of people in my province...

Hey Guys, I've been working on a blog post for about two weeks that I planned on posting today. Unfortunately, I've been having trouble taking the pictures with it as I've got an awesome idea for some outside shots, but it's been so cold and miserable in my city that we've literally still been seeing snow, and such, and alas, I haven't been able to take the pics for it yet. I was unfortunately working right through it, but oh well I did have quite a bit of time to spend with my books during this past week. It's been a few months since I last did a book haul, thanks to the fact that I'm still on a book buying ban, and thus, have not had any books to haul. I'm still missing sharing books hauls on my blog though, so I thought today it would be fun to do a library haul, since it's also been quite awhile since I last shared one of those. Happy Monday Guys! I hope you all had a a wonderful Easter. :) For us, it was actually a bit quieter than normal this year, and I ended up spending it a tad unconventionally. My family had decided not to do a big get together this year, and so instead, I planned a small dinner just for my husband and I. However, he was actually working for most of the day, so when I wasn't preparing dinner, I actually spent most of the day watching Christmas movies. That may seem a tad weird to some, but since we got a huge bunch of snow dumped on us on Saturday night, it honestly didn't seem that out of place to me. From Saturday night to Sunday night I actually ended up watching four: Back To Christmas, A Cinderella Christmas, Sound of Christmas, and A Christmas to Remember. I loved all of them, as everyone knows I'm addicted to made for TV Christmas movies, but my favorite was definitely Sound of Christmas. When I first started my blog in September of 2015, I knew books were going to make up the majority of the content I shared. However, I said right in my about me section that I was also planning on sharing some cooking posts and fashion posts, since both are also important to me. Today I thought that I would love to share a cooking themed post, and share some of my favorite cookbooks I like to use in my kitchen. I honestly love cooking any time of the year. One of my all time favorite things to do is try out new recipes, and cook for my family and friends. I'll be having an upcoming post soon sharing the dinners I made for the week, but for today's post I wanted to talk about my 5 all time favorite cookbooks.
