Happy Friday Guys! I hope everyone had a great week, and is looking forward to the weekend. I'm hoping to find lots of reading time this particular weekend, and I'm feeling even more inspired to read than normal as I've started 2018 off with such amazing reads so far. Earlier this week, I shared my review for Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren, and today I'm excited to share with you all another really good inspirational fiction book I had the pleasure of reading this year. Forward to What Lies Ahead by Chloe S. Flanagan: Source: Complimentary copy from the author Publisher: Self Published Publication Date: November 15th, 2017 Genre: Inspirational Fiction Synopsis: Sometimes being strong isn’t enough.  Ever since she was a teenager, Regina Whitman has relied on her tough, independent spirit to survive and to protect the ones she loves. 2018 Reading Goals and Resolutions

2017 ended up being a pretty amazing year. I had my doubts when it first started, and although it definitely had its moments, overall I'd say I was pretty blessed. I think honestly the right attitude can make a huge difference on how a year ends up playing out, and I definitely had the wrong attitude as 2016 came to a close, and we headed into 2017. Sometimes life isn't going to be perfect, and 2017 helped me to understand that honestly that's okay. Nobody's life is perfect, no matter how much it may seem like it on the outside, and honestly, I think perfection would probably be a tad boring. After all, its often in the imperfect moments that we truly discover life's greatest blessings, and so as we jump into 2018, I'm looking forward to discovering many more amazing books, and taking my blog even further. I know the idea of resolutions and goals is one that not everybody agrees on. Some feel that setting reading goals is putting unnecessary pressure...

Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren Review

Happy Monday Everyone :) Thanks so much for joining me today on The Preppy Book Princess. One of my favorite things is when your first read of a new year is an amazing read. It starts your year off on such a good note, and inspires you to keep reading, and working towards your reading goals. I was lucky this year, in that this was the case for me. I just finished my first read of 2018 a couple of days ago, and I completely loved it from the start to the end. Today I'm here to share my thoughts about it with all of you guys. :) Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren: Source: Publisher Via NetGalley Publisher: Revell Publication Date: January 2nd, 2018 Genre: Inspirational Fiction Synopsis: Billionaire Ian Shaw can have everything he wants--except a happy ending. Or at least that's what it feels like with his fortune recently liquidated, his niece, Esme, still missing, and the woman he loves refusing to speak to him. In fact, he doubts she would da...

What I Got For Christmas 2017

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all looking forward to the weekend, as I know I sure am. I'm also looking forward to work slowing down a bit, as the last couple of weeks around the holidays was crazy busy. Today I'm finally getting the chance to share my What I Got For Christmas post. In previous years I've only shared what books I got for Christmas, which you can find here and here.  However, I really really enjoy reading everyone else's "What I Got For Christmas" posts, and watching those type of YouTube videos, so I decided this year I'd like to share my whole Christmas haul with all of you guys. Of course, I'd like to preface this post by saying I'm not trying to brag. I simply enjoy reading and watching these type of posts and videos, and I wanted to do my own this year. As well, Christmas is definitely not about presents, it's about the birth of Jesus, and love, and spending quality time with friends and family. I w...

The Worst Books I Read in 2017

Happy Wednesday Everyone :) I hope that 2018 is treating you all well so far, and that you're already diving into many amazing new reads. My first read of 2018 is soooo good so far, and I can't wait to review it all for you guys, hopefully next week. Today however I want to continue on with my 2017 wrap reading wrap ups. On Monday, I posted The Best Books I Read in 2017 , and so today it's time to share with you all the Worst Books I Read in 2017. I don't mean to offend anyone with my picks, if any of you guys loved any of these books, that's totally awesome. They just weren't books I personally enjoyed. The Christmas Mail Order Bride by Kit Morgan: I wasn't expecting a ton out of this book, but I was anticipating a sweet, Christian holiday romance. However, this book was so far fetched, and the villain and her mother were basically laughable. I only ended up rating this one two of out five stars, and it's definitely a series I wil...

The Best Books I Read In 2017

It's officially the first day of 2018 guys, and I'm finally back with a new blog post. 2017 ended extremely rough for my family, as on December 23rd my dad's youngest brother went to be with Jesus. It was extremely unexpected, and it really stressed what's truly important as we went into the holiday season. That was a big part of why I decided I needed to take a week away from my blog, I needed to spend the holidays with my family and friends reflecting on the true meaning of the season, as life is short and none of us ever know when it could be someone's last Christmas. My uncle was a hard working, caring person who loved his family and friends above anything else, and the world definitely lost one of its brightest stars when he passed away. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, and I can only find peace in knowing that he's in a much better place. 2017 was not the easiest year for me period, as I went through a lot of trials that h...
