Happy Monday Everyone, and I hope you all had a great weekend.
I've decided to try a bit different of a post for me today, and it's something that's obviously going to shift away from my usual bookish content.
Over the last almost two years, I've mainly focuses on bookish posts, with sharing the occasional other content once in awhile.
Books are definitely still going to be the main content of my blog, but I thought it might be fun once in awhile to share some other content as well.
I'm not sure how much I've mentioned about this before, but I'm also a huge fan of planning, cooking, household managing, budgeting-you name it basically lol, as well, I'm also a big fan of fashion content as well.
One of my favorite type of blog post or youtube video is when people post a week's worth of their dinners, as since I love cooking I love getting new and creative dinner ideas, and so I decided to be inspired to post my own week of our dinners post on my blog today.
I
I hope you guys enjoy getting to see what I made for dinner each night this week, and if anyone's interested in the recipes I used, I'll definitely be able to link them as well.
Sunday Night:
On Sunday night, I made my favorite Spanish rice recipe. This one is my own recipe that I combined from my Grandma's recipe growing up, with a recipe my mom found in a magazine almost thirty years ago. There were bits and pieces I liked of each, and so I combined it and made my own instead.
To go with it, I also made cornbread muffins, since Neil is a cornbread connoisseur, and I got this amazing recipe from pinterest.
Monday Night:
Monday was a loooong day at work for both Neil and I, so I decided to go with one of my favorite stand by's, breakfast for dinner. I made eggs in the shape of Mickey which we had on English muffins with cheddar cheese, and I whipped up some waffle iron homemade hashbrowns which were amazing. As well, we'd gotten some delicious oranges from the grocery store, so we each had half an orange with our breakfast.
Tuesday Night:
On Tuesday night, I tried a new recipe for a creamy Ranch pasta in the slow cooker which was amazing, and I served it with steamed veggies.
Wednesday Night:
Wednesday night I decided to make up another batch of homemade veggie burgers, and this time I tried experimenting with Romano beans instead of black beans like I usually use, and then adding in lots of extra veggies. I also made our favorite broccoli salad, and we just had some chips to go with it.
Thursday Night:
On Thursday night we made Taco French Bread Pizza, which was another recipe I'd seen on pinterest, although I altered it by using soy crumbles instead of traditional taco meat.
Friday Night:
Friday night I made sweet and sour cauliflower with rice, and this was amazing! I literally have been craving this again ever since.
Saturday Night:
Saturday night I made a baked alfredo pasta dish, with canned beets my mother in law sent us from her garden, garlic bread, salad and green beans.
Sunday Night:
Lastly, Sunday night I made vegetarian sloppy joes in the slow cooker, which are always one of our favorites, and I decided to go ahead and make this broccoli salad again since we love it, and it's definitely a go to summer recipe for us.
I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I made for dinner, and seeing a slightly different post from what I normally do.
I hope your weeks off to a great start, and I'll see you back here on Monday for another bookish themed post!
