Books I'm Taking With Me On Vacation

Happy Wednesday Everyone, and Thank You So Much For Joining Me Today on the Preppy Book Princess!

I'm excited to say that while you're all reading this post, I'll actually be away for a few days with my hubby. To say I've been looking forward to this short trip would be a huge understatement! Neil and I have both been so busy the last couple of weeks, that we decided a few days away together to rest and relax were definitely in order, and it seemed only fitting that this coincided with our four year anniversary!

In fact guys, I'm happy to say that today and tomorrow mark two very important anniversaries.

First of all, on this day September 20th, back in 2015 is when I first started my blog! So today The Preppy Book Princess officially turns two years old! And I can't begin to describe how much these two years have meant to me. My blog has been a source of joy and inspiration for me through some pretty rough times, and I'm glad that I get to continue to use it as a way to shine a light for Jesus to the rest of the world. As well, my blog has affronted me many opportunities for which I'm forever grateful, and I want to take today to thank you all for your continued support of little corner on the internet. :)

Secondly, tomorrow, September 21st, is officially four years since I chose to say I do to my best friend. I can't wait to celebrate Neil's and I four year anniversary tomorrow, and I'm very thankful we were able to get some time away together in which to do so.

And now, I'd like to take a moment to share with you all the fabulous sounding books that I took with me for this quick little getaway :)

The House On Foster Hill by Jaime Jo Wright:

This in an inspirational/suspense novel that I currently have from Netgalley, and while it sounds ridiculously scary, it also sounds amazing, and I've already heard great things about it. As you guys all know, I'm a huge fan of Colleen Coble and Dani Pettrey, and this one has been compared to their's, so hopefully I'll end up loving it as well.

Lizzy and Jane by Katherine Reay:

I'm so enjoying this Austen inspired inspirational contemporary novel by Katherine Reay. I honestly always seem to love reading "foodish" books like this one definitely is, and while I'm still not too too far into it, I've really loved what I've read so far.

A Second Christmas Wish by Kathryn Freeman:

This is another one that I currently have from Netgalley, and I honestly cannot wait to read this. This contemporary fiction novel about a woman and her seven year old son who learn to love the Christmas season when a new man enters their lives. It sounds like the perfect read to curl up with on these beautiful, blistery fall days we've been having as of late, and I have a feeling I'm going to end up loving this one.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

This week, Lindsay Harrel's newest book released, and I loved it when I had the chance to read and review it. I'm excited to feature it for this week's First Line Friday post which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books.
