The Starbucks Coffee Book Tag

Good Morning Bookish Friends :) Some days the ingenuity of the bookish community with creating book tags completely amazes me! There's so many book tags out in the world now, and yet everyday the book community manages to keep coming up with original ones that are pretty amazing. If you don't already know this about me, I'll go ahead and admit that I have a huge Starbucks obsession. But, I'm not a coffee drinker in the slightest. I can't stand the taste of it, and even like coffee flavored ice cream is something I can't stomach in the slightest. So it probably seems a little funny that I enjoy Starbucks as much as I do, but that's mainly thanks to their AMAZING Iced Tea Lemonades that are pretty much my favorite drink ever, and I also love love love their hot chocolate. So even though I'm not a coffee drinker, I still thought this tag sounded like fun that I found on Raising My Book , so I'm going to go ahead and do it anyways. Blac...

First Line Friday: On Love's Gentle Shore

Happy Friday Everyone :) Today I'm participating in First Line Friday for the first time ever which is hosted by the lovely Hoarding Books . My current read is On Love's Gentle Shore by Liz Johnson. This is the third book in her Prince Edward Island Dreams series, and the first two books in the series have been two of my favorite reads of 2019 so far. The third book is just as amazing as the first two so far, and it hooks you right from the first line: "She'd thought it was safe to come back to the island." Happy reading and Happy Friday! Grab the book nearest you and leave the first line in the comments. Then head on over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating this week!

Finding Me by Kathryn Cushman Review

Hello Bookish Friends :) One of my reading goals for 2019 is to try and read more of the books I actually own. I began trying to do this in 2018, but there's still a lot of progress I need to make on doing so. While I'm still borrowing library books, and definitely still requesting arc's from netgalley, I'm trying to intersperse my own books in there as well. One such book that I recently finished is Finding Me by Kathryn Cushman. While I'd never actually heard of either the book or the author before, I was intrigued by the synopsis, and as such, I ended up picking it up this past summer. Today I'd like to share with you all of you what I thought about it. Finding Me by Kathryn Cushman: Source: Bought for Myself Publisher: Bethany House Publication Date: April 7th, 2015 Genre: Christian Fiction/Mystery/Women's Fiction Synopsis: A Contemporary Drama of Family Lies  and Forgotten Loves After her father and stepmother's accide...

Books I Loved With Fewer Than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads.

Happy Tuesday Bookish Friends :) I'm very much looking forward to sharing my picks for this week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic: Books I loved with fewer than 2,000 ratings on Goodreads. I was actually surprised by just how many of my favorite books didn't have anywhere close to that many ratings, and I'm excited to get to spread some love for them today. However, first things first, if you are unfamiliar with Top Ten Tuesday, it's a weekly blog meme that originated on The Broke and The Bookish, and you can now find it on That Artsy Reader Girl.  Here's my list: The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof: 933 Ratings Without a doubt, this is my favorite historical romance novel of all time. The circus setting was unlike anything I'd ever read before, and the romance that develops between Charlie and Ella was beautiful. And as always, I love getting to support a self published book. The Lodge on Holly Road by Sheila Roberts: 885 Ratings ...

Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger Review

Good Morning Bookish Friends :) I hope you're week is off to a great start , and I want to thank you for joining me today on the Preppy Book Princess. As I've previously mentioned, last month my hubby and I were lucky enough to get to go to Disney World for almost two weeks. We always tend to fly out of the city that has my favorite Chapters bookstore in it, and so before we headed home I splurged and treated myself with a visit to my favorite bookstore. I decided to give a book a chance that I'd never heard of either the book or the author before, and looked forward to getting the chance to read it. Now that I've done so, I'd like to share my thoughts and opinions about it with you all. Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger: Source: Bought for Myself Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire Publication Date: June 6th, 2017 Genre: Young Adult Fiction/Thriller Series: Follow Me Back Synopsis Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom wit...

Hello Everyone :) Thank you for joining me today for another book review here on the Preppy Book Princess. Today I'm going to be sharing with you all a review for an upcoming book release by an  author I'd never personally read before, Mary Weber. To Best The Boys by Mary Weber: Source: Publisher (Thomas Nelson) Via NetGalley Publisher: Thomas Nelson Publication Date: March 5th, 2019 Genre: Young Adult Fiction/Fantasy Synopsis: Every year for the past fifty-four years, the residents of Pinsbury Port receive a mysterious letter inviting all eligible-aged boys to compete for an esteemed scholarship to the all-male Stemwick University. And Rhen Tellur opens it to see if she can derive which substances the ink and parchment are created from, using her father’s microscope. In the province of Caldon, where women are ...

Top Ten Book Couples

Hello Everyone :) I hope you're all doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me here today on The Preppy Book Princess. It's been a very very long time since I last participated in Top Ten Tuesday, but I'm hoping to make more time for this weekly meme in 2019. If you're unfamiliar, Top Ten Tuesday was first started by The Broke and the Bookish, and you can now find it at That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week's topic is Favorite Couples In Books, and it was one that was really hard to narrow down to my top ten choices. I have so many favorite couples that it would be impossible to limit it to just ten, but the ones I've chosen are definitely some of my all time favorites. Christy and Todd from The Christy Miller series and spin offs by Robin Jones Gunn: I love these two, and I especially love that the reader gets to see their relationship from young teens and continuing on through college, marriage and children. Edward and Bella from Tw...
