Bookish Hallmark Movies

Good Morning Friends :)

I hope you're all having a great day, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another bookish post here on The Preppy Book Princess.

If you've been reading my blog for awhile, then you're probably aware that I'm a big fan of the Hallmark channel.

I continue to love the fact that they produce wholesome family movies that I never have to be nervous about letting my niece and nephews watch with me, and I adore the sweet romances that play on the channel through each and every season.

I tend to blog about Hallmark movies fairly frequently, and in fact, my Hallmark posts continue to be the most popular ones on my blog.

Today though I'd like to focus on the fact that Hallmark has actually made quite a few movies for us book nerds. Have any of you guys realized just how many of their movies are about bookstores or authors or the like?

So for a fun different kind of post, today I'm going to compile all of the bookish themed Hallmark movies that I'm aware of, and if I missed any please let me know in the comments!

Falling for Vermont starring Julie Gonzalo and Benjamin Ayres:

I have to start of with one of my favorites. This lovely tale tells the story of a best selling author who winds up with amnesia, and finds herself falling for the small town she's stumbled upon, and the charismatic doctor and his children who take her in. I adore this one, and I really wish the book series featured in it was a real series.

Love by the Book starring Leah Renee and Kristopher Turner:

I haven't personally seen this one, but it's apparently about a bookstore owner who's grown up loving fairy tales, and is about to learn a hard lesson that love in real life doesn't always go the way it does in those books. I definitely need to try and see this one soon.

The Bridge and The Bridge Part 2 starring Katie Findlay and Wyatt Nash:

I haven't actually seen these ones either, but I have read the book by Karen Kingsbury that they're based on. These ones follow the two main characters as they meet in college and develop a relationship. A local bookstore, The Bridge, becomes an important part of their lives.

A Gift To Remember starring Ali Liebert and Peter Porte:

I adored this movie, and the book it's based off of by Melissa Hill. This one follows the manager of a local bookstore who inadvertently is involved with a man's accident. When he wakes up with amnesia, she feels drawn to help him figure out where he came from and what his story is, and in the process she finds herself falling for him.

Frozen in Love starring Rachel Leigh Cook and Niall Matter:

I actually just watched this one over the past weekend, and I loved it. It revolves around a woman who's struggling to keep her family's bookstore afloat, and a bad boy hockey player who's public relations firm has him helping save the bookstore in order to get the good press he needs to get back onto his hockey team. It was hilarious, heartwarming and full of the fun chemistry I've come to expect from Hallmark Channel. It's definitely a new favorite.

Hope at Christmas starring Scottie Thompson and Ryan Paevey:

I have not personally seen this one yet, and I'm not honestly exactly sure what it's about, but I know it revolves around a recently divorced woman who finds solace in a small town bookstore, and a local teacher who she meets at said bookstore. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one, especially since Ryan Paevey is one of my favorite Hallmark actors.

A Novel Romance starring Amy Acker and Dylan Bruce:

Another adorable entry, this particular title focuses on a best selling author who inadvertently ends up hiding his identity from one of his biggest critics, only to end up falling for her, and having to deal with the fall out from her realizing he's not who she thought he was.

The Mistletoe Inn starring Alicia Witt and David Alpay:

Alicia Witt is one of my favorite Hallmark stars, and in this particular Christmas movie, she plays an aspiring writer who's decided to attend a writer's convention to try and hone her craft. She's placed with another up and coming writer as a critique partner, and soon the sparks are flying between the two of them, and she knows that this week will end up changing her life in ways she never could have seen coming. I really adored this one, and the best selling book it's based off of by Richard Paul Evans.

Christmas Next Door starring Jesse Metcalfe and Fiona Gubelmann:

I haven't actually seen this one either, but it's apparently about an author who's works on being a bachelor have made him a bestseller and then he's forced to look after his niece and nephew for the holidays with the help of his Christmas-loving next door neighbor. This one also sounds really cute, and I just may have to check it out.

Winter Love Story starring Jen Lilley and Kevin McGarry:

This quirky, adorable romance follows a woman who's recently published her break up memoir. As a means for her to gain publicity, her publisher sends her on a book tour with an established best selling fantasy author. The sparks are soon flying between the two of them, but can it ever truly work out? I've started this one, but haven't finished it yet, and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it so far. Especially the chemistry between the two main characters.

So guys, if you're ever in the mood for a bookishly themed Hallmark movie, you actually have quite a few to choose from. I know I will definitely be watching some of the ones I haven't seen very shortly.

If you guys have any more to add to this list, please let me know in the comments as I'd love to hear about them!

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
