Hope Between the Pages by Pepper Basham Review

Hello Friends :)

I pray you've all been doing well, and I want to thank you for joining me today here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I've been going through a lot lately. Sometimes it seems like it's not possible to handle all the burdens that are currently weighing on my shoulders, but then I take comfort in reminding myself that nothing is impossible for our our Heavenly Father, and there's a never a moment where He's not right with me.

Outside of prayer, worship and reading His Word, one of my favorite ways to try and give myself some hope in the midst of bad times is by reading Christian fiction novels.

I recently finished a book that had me both ugly crying and reevaluating how I've been looking at many recent situations, and I can't possibly stress how much this amazing story affected me.

Today, I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Forced to step outside of her predictable world, Clara embarks on an adventure with only the name Oliver as a hint of the man’s identity in her great-great-grandmother’s letter. My Review:

I have a read a lot of books already this year, but I can wholeheartedly say that Hope Between the Pages has been one of my very favorites. I loved reading other books in the Doors to the Past series, and I couldn't wait to dive into another of these fantastic dual timeline stories. This book was everything I could have possibly wanted all wrapped up into one story, and I know it's going to be a story I'm still thinking about quite sometime after finishing it.

If you're a booklover, this is the book you need to pick up. Readers are treated to  two whimsical heroines who love the opportunity to lose themselves in a great story, and love sharing their passion of these stories with the rest of the world. In the past, Sadie Blackwell is the maid who is lucky enough to be in charge of Biltmore estate's grand library. A chance encounter with a visitor to the estate will change her life in ways she never could have seen coming. In the present, Clara Blackwell is doing the best she can to keep great-grandma Sadie's dream alive in the family's much beloved bookstore. However, a nefarious family member is trying to throw a wrench in Clara's well thought out plans, and a sudden trip to England might just change everything she's ever thought she wanted.

From start to finish, Hope Between the Pages is a beautifully written story that will tug at heartstrings, and point every reader to the true need for Jesus in our ever changing world. Full of romance, family secrets, fascinating bits of history, and an ever present love of the written word, this story is one of my favorite dual timeline ones to date, and I've read quite a few of them over the years.

I can't recommend this one enough, and I hope and pray that it will touch and inspire every reader's heart as much as it did mine!

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
