Truth Unshaken by Kristina Hall Review

 Happy Friday Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

Are you doing anything exciting for the weekend? I was supposed to be attending a Christmas service with my family, but our area is predicted to get a big snowstorm tomorrow, and I'm not sure if that will still be happening or not.

Even if it doesn't, I'm still looking forward to enjoying many festive things like baking, wrapping, and watching Christmas movies, and I hope to curl up with at least one Christmas themed read this weekend as well.

Today's post is an exciting one for me, because today I get to share with all of you my review for Kristina Hall's newest release that just so happens to be the third and final book in her Moretti Trilogy.

You can check out my reviews for the first two books below and then keep on reading for my review of the newest book:

Mercy Undeserved

My Review:

Truth Unshaken is the third installment in Kristina Hall's Moretti Trilogy, and this book has honestly left me still thinking about it days after finishing it. This entire trilogy has been a wild ride from start to finish, and I've enjoyed each and every moment. Set in the prohibition era, this trilogy focuses around the devastation and challenges one family has been forced to face at the hands of mobsters and gangsters, and heavily emphasizes the need for our Savior Jesus amidst any struggle we may find ourselves facing.

In this particular title, we get Frank's story, and I've been (im)patiently waiting on this one! Frank's injuries from the war have left him bitter, resentful and unforgiving towards some of his family members, and he starts to realize that he's not really living the Christian life he claims to be. When an injured woman is brought to his family's home, the mobster life hits closer than he could have expected, and he soon realizes that he'll go to any length to see Carla protected, even if it means having to join forces with the brother in law that he's never been able to bring himself to accept.

I loved Frank and Carla's story, and just how much the redemptive message comes to mean to both of them throughout their journey. I always appreciate how authentically and flawlessly Kristina Hall manages to incorporate the faith message in each and every one of her stories, and this one may just be my favorite yet.

However, I have to say my absolute favorite part of this entire story was Moretti's journey. He's come so far from the first book, and even though this book opens up another dangerous escapade that he never could have expected, he learns to trust his Heavenly Father no matter what, and the reader sees such growth in his character over the course of the story.

I'm so sad to see this trilogy come to an end, but it definitely got the conclusion it deserved, and I can't wait to see what Kristina Hall has in store for her reader's next!

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Kristina Hall for allowing me to read and review this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
