Hello Friends :)
I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.
If I'm being completely honest, the last year and a half have been really difficult for me. So many devastating blows have come my way in the last while, and sometimes it's hard to want to stay motivated to keep going.
I'm sure many of you have been through these times as well, and one of my favorite ways of combatting them is trying to draw closer to Jesus.
For Christmas 2020, my mom gifted me a new 365 day devotional to focus on during the year 2021, and today I'd like to share a short review of that devotional with you all.
The Confident Woman Devotional: 365 Daily Inspirations by Joyce Meyer:
Source: Christmas Gift From My Mother
Publisher: FaithWords
Publication Date: October 16th, 2018
Genre: Christian Non Fiction/Christian Living
Synopsis:
In this revised and expanded edition based on her #1 New York Times bestseller The Confident Woman, Joyce Meyer taps into concerns and issues that many women commonly experience -- lack of confidence, poor self-image, dysfunctional relationships -- and provides encouragement and practical wisdom to help resolve problems in those areas of life.
God has created you to be confident, bold, and free -- free to be yourself, free from the need to compare yourself to others, and free to step into His destiny for your life. In today's busy, fast-paced world, it's easy to forget the need to slow down and live in the present, while holding on to personal "baggage" that's keeping you from being the woman God created you to be. But this powerful daily devotional, revised and expanded with new insights, inspirational quotes, and practical action items, will help you on your journey toward a confident life filled with love, laughter, and God's acceptance, one day at time.

My Review:
I've always appreciated the way that Joyce Meyer is firmly able to get her points across while having scriptural backing to do so, and I really enjoyed getting to start each day of 2021 with the reminder of the many Biblical truths scattered throughout this devotional.
I don't know that I discovered anything new or life changing from reading this one, but it was a nice reminder of the many truths promised to us as being daughters of the King.
However, I'm docking one star for the fact that sometimes I felt this one focused more on "self empowerment" than I was comfortable with, and I don't always agree with her take on what modern women should be doing in ministry today.
Overall, I did really enjoy this one, but I preferred Battlefield of the Mind.
Final Rating: 4/5.
Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)
