Match Point by Erynn Mangum Review

Hello Everyone :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to drop by The Preppy Book Princess today.

Today brings us to review number four of my five reviews in a row, and this one is one I'm particularly excited to tell you all about.

One of my all time favorite things is getting to share my thoughts about the many books I consume with you all, and today I hope you'll grab yourself a cup of your favorite hot beverage, and settle in to read my review of another wonderful Christian contemporary title.

I can pretty much refer to 2022 as the year I fell in love with Erynn Mangum's books, and I'm so thankful that such wonderful works of fiction exist for Christian women who want relatable books that honor Jesus without compromising on other areas.

I've previously read and reviewed the first two books in this series, and you can check those out using the links below:

My Review:

Erynn Mangum has become one of my all time favorite authors over the last year, and I've enjoyed every single one of her books that I've chosen to pick up. The Lauren Holbrook series has been a personal favorite ever since I stumbled upon the first story, and I loved how relatable Lauren was as a character, and how authentically and realistically the faith element was portrayed.

Over the course of the three books, the reader definitely gets to see Lauren mature as she adjusts to the many changes and curveballs that life throws her way. Her faith continues to grow as she learns to trust and rely on Him no matter the circumstances. I enjoyed that the author gave Lauren quite a few difficult situations to work through, as I thought it made the faith element that much more sincere. In particular, I enjoyed how this title includes Lauren's family becoming blended, and just how much she ends up loving her new stepmom.

Of course I've been waiting all along for Lauren to finally get her own happily ever after, and it was just as swoon worthy and adorable as I was hoping for. The hijinks and hilarity that both Lauren (and the author!) are known for did not disappoint within this one, and some of the wedding planning moments were downright hilarious.

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this one from start to finish, and I can't possibly recommend the first three books in this series enough. Definitely one of my favorite series of all time, and probably one of the best available Christian fiction options for young women.

I can't conclude my review without mentioning just how much I adore the family and friendship element included within, and I think it made a great series that much better. Lauren's friends and family are the type that anyone would feel blessed to have around, and I loved the close relationships that exist between them all.

All in all, I couldn't have enjoyed this one more, and I'm so thankful the author decided to write an additional two books in the series as I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to these wonderful characters.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often.   Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall?
