For the Sake of Her Sons by Allie Pleiter Review

Good Morning Lovelies and Happy Friday!

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review.

I apologize for my absence the past couple of weeks. It wasn't anything I had planned, but unfortunately I'm currently in the midst of dealing with several different family emergencies, and I didn't have either the time or the energy to come on here to post.

While I would still appreciate your prayers for my family, I'm not going to say more than that because I want to respect everyone's privacy, including my own.

However, I'm happy to be able to be back today sharing my love of the written word with you all, and this review is going to be both exciting and bittersweet for me to share with you.

Exciting because it's a new and upcoming title from one of my favorite authors, who I'm blessed to get to continue to be part of her review team. Bittersweet because it's the final title in this amazing series by her, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

If you'd like to check out my reviews of the previous titles in the series, you can do so using the links below:

Restoring their Family

Otherwise I hope you'll all keep reading down below for today's full review.

My Review:

If I'm being honest, this review is honestly a little bittersweet for me to be writing. On the one hand, it was a fantastic book that I could barely bring myself to put down. However, I'm sad that this wonderful story is the final installment in the True North Springs series. This particular series has become a personal favorite of mine, and it's hard saying farewell to these characters and the wonderful place of healing they've created together. However, Allie Pleiter definitely gives the series the send off it deserves, and this title actually ended up being my favorite of the four.

Grief is not something that everyone heals or moves on from in the same way, and Camp True North Springs does an amazing job of acknowledging that. They've seen their fare share of miracles happen over the past few seasons, but Willa Scottson might be one of their toughest cases yet. When photographer Bruce Lawrence learns of her upcoming visit to the camp, he's unsure if he can bring himself to want to stick around and help the grieving widow and her rambunctious twin boys. However, Mason and Dana are convinced that her coming is a God thing, and that He has a master plan in store for the entire family. As both Willa and Bruce try and deal with grief, hurt and stored up guilt, they'll have to decide if they're able to trust the only One who's able to turn the broken pieces into something beautiful.

With a wonderful and heart wrenching plot that focuses around healing from grief from unimaginable tragedies and a sweet friends to something more romance, For the Sake of Her Sons is a wonderful faith based romance that tugs at the heartstrings and leaves readers with a big smile on their face.

I don't recommend picking this one up without a box of tissues handy as you are definitely going to need them. A wonderful read that was everything I could have ever wanted, I can't possibly recommend this one enough, and I can't wait to see what this author has in store her readers in the future.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Allie Pleiter for allowing me to advance read this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author as part of her street team, Allie's Allies. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for reading everyone! I pray you all have a good weekend and a wonderful Christmas! I'll see you all back here soon after the Christmas season :)
