The Cowboy Who Looked Again by Liz Isaacson Review

 Happy Wednesday Sweet Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review.

It's been on my heart a lot lately that we've seen such a diminish in the quality of Christian fiction titles, especially those published traditionally. Which is why I'm extra appreciative of any author who is continuing to put Jesus at the front and center of every single title they write.

I recently had the blessing of getting to read and review Liz Isaacson's newest release, and today I can't wait to tell you guys all about it. If you love swoon worthy, faith based cowboy romances, then you're definitely going to want to stick around for my full review.

Before I jump right in though, if you'd like to check out my review of the first title in the series, you can do so using the link below:

My Review:

I'm a relative newcomer to Liz Isaacson's stories, but I'd loved the first book in this series, and was looking forward to returning to Three Rivers. This beautiful second chance romance spoke to my heart, and had me not wanting to put it down right from the start.

The author has a fantastic way of bringing her stories to life on the page for her readers, and Link and Misty's story was even more than I was hoping for. Both have had to overcome feelings of unworthiness and hidden insecurities to move into their own happily ever after, and I loved how this was all tied into needing to realize our identity is rooted in Christ, no matter what obstacles we've had to overcome on our faith journey.

The Glover family is one of the main reasons I keep wanting to return to her stories, as I love how big each of their hearts are for Jesus and the community around them. It was so touching to see the way they all quickly wove Misty into their folds, and fully stood behind Link, Mitch, and every other family member no matter which way they decided to go.

In a day and age where faith content is being diminished in so many titles under the Christian fiction heading, I'm so thankful that Liz Isaacson keeps the faith content at the front and center, and still manages to give readers a swoon worthy, heart racing romance with all the feels.

Link and Misty's story ended up being one of my favorite reads of the year so far, and I can't wait to continue on with more books from this author in the future.

If you like cowboy romances that'll make your heart flutter and keep you unable to put a book down, then The Cowboy Who Looked Again is definitely for you!

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much to Liz Isaacson for allowing me to advance read and review this title!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...
