Top 16 Most Anticipated Books of 2016

Hello everybody,

I'm a little late getting to this post, but I still wanted to go ahead and do it anyways :)

I'm here today to talk about my 16 most anticipated books of 2016!

While there were quite a few books I was really excited for that released last month, or earlier this month (like The Siren by Kiera Cass and Stars Above by Marissa Meyer), I'm not going to include them on this list, since it is a list of most anticipated books, and those ones have already been released.

Here is my 16 picks, not in any particular order.

1) A Court Of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas: I absolutely loved A Court Of Thorns and Roses, and I can't wait to go ahead and read this one as well.

2) Heartless by Marissa Meyer: It's no secret that The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite book series of all time, so I fangirled pretty hard when I found out that Marissa Meyer has a new series coming out centered around Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait to read this book!

3) The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkoski: The Winner's Curse was one of my favorite books that I read in 2015. I could barely put it down once I started reading it. Unfortunately, I found The Winner's Crime to be a little bit of a let down, but I have high hopes that I will love this one, and love how the trilogy ends.

4) The Crown by Kiera Cass: I absolutely adore The Selection Series. It is without a doubt, one of my all time favorite series, and while I'm sad to see it coming to an end, I also can't wait to see how she chooses to end this much beloved series.

5) The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead: I absolutely adore this woman's books, and the premise of this series is incredibly intriguing to me. I'm looking very forward to getting to read it.

6) Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch: I have yet to read Ice Like Fire, but I absolutely loved Snow Like Ashes, and I'm super excited to read these next two in the series (or trilogy?) not sure how many books are actually in this series.

7) The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: I completely adore this woman, writing as both Morgan Matson, and Katie Finn, I have loved every book that  I've read of hers, and I'm sure I will feel the same way about this one as well.

8) P.S. I Like You by Kasie West: One of my favorite contemporaries of all time is The Distance Between Us by Kasie West, and I've also really enjoyed her other contemporaries that I've read, so I'm really looking forward to her having another releasing this year :)

9) Map of Fates by Maggie Hall: I loved The Conspiracy of Us, and I loved the mystery introduced in it, so I can't wait to see where Maggie Hall goes with this next book.

10) Walk The Edge by Katie McGarry: Katie McGarry is one of my all time favorite authors, and I'm always excited when she releases a new novel, especially since no one can write book boyfriends like she can. (except maybe Stephanie Perkins who introduced us to St. Clair!!!)

11) The Elementals Series by Michelle Madow: One of my all time favorite authors is releasing not only a new book this year, but the first three books in her new series since she is going the self publishing route for this one. I can't wait to read it!

12) Hearts, Fingers, and Other Things To Cross by Katie Finn: As mentioned above, I adore Morgan Matson writing under her real name, and under her pen name. I can't wait to see how she chooses to end this series.

13) The Season of You and Me by Robin Constantine: Another one of my fave contemporaries, The Promise Of Amazing, is by this author, so I'm super excited to pick up her new one when it comes out.

14) It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover: I love love love Colleen Hoover's writing, and her personality, so I can't wait to see what amazing story she'll be telling us all with this one.

15) When We Collided by Emery Lord: I have recently discovered this amazing author, and I can't wait to read this next release by her :)

16) Lastly, although it has not been officially confirmed yet, it is rumored that Stephanie Perkin's new novel is going to be released in 2016! (not the anthology of short stories that's already got a release date set), but a new, full length novel by her. I hope hope hope that this is true, because she remains one of my all time favorite authors, and Anna and The French Kiss remains my favorite book of all time, and was the first book I chose to review here on my blog.

This was an extremely hard post to write, as there's literally hundreds and hundreds of amazing books that interest me coming out this year, but these are some of the ones I'm most excited about.

Thanks for reading everyone! Do any of you have certain books releasing this year that your highly anticipating? I'd love to hear which ones!

I'll see everyone in my next post.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
