Top 5 Wednesday: Authors You Are Waiting On Another Book From

Hey guys!

I'm finally here today to do another Top 5 Wednesday Post. I've actually missed the last couple of these because of being away and whatnot, but I'm super excited to be taking part in this week's topic.

If you're unfamiliar with Top 5 Wednesday, it's a weekly meme that was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey on Youtube, and is now moderated by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes, also from Youtube. The group communicates through goodreads, and here's the link if you're interested in learning more about it:

Today's topic is: Authors You Are Waiting On Another Book From. There's many of my favorite authors who haven't seemed to have had a book release lately, and so I'm very excited to share my favorites of those with you today.

1) Stephanie Perkins:

I feel like I've been waiting forever for a new release from Stephanie Perkins. As you all know, Anna and The French Kiss is my favorite book of all time, and while I know that Stephanie has edited and released a couple of short story collections, it's not the same as having a full length novel, and I really hope to see this change soon.

2) Jenny Han:

I'm beyond belief excited that Jenny Han has decided to write another book in the To All The Boys I've Loved Before series, but I have no idea how I'm going to wait until 2017 for its release. Her books are always some of my favorites, and I always have trouble with the long waits between releases.

3) Sarah Dessen:

It already feels like it's been forever to me since Saint Anything was released, and I really wish their was a new Sarah Dessen book release on the horizon. I always feel like I gobble up her new book so fast, and then am stuck waiting forever for a new one. However, whenever her next book is released, you can bet I will be ready and willing to read it.

4) Ali Novak:

I was highly anticipating the release of Ali's new book this November, so I can't even describe how depressed I am that the release date has been pushed back until February 2017! That seems like such a long wait between books, and I'm going to be anxiously awaiting the day when I can finally buy her new book.

5) Suzanne Collins:

Lastly, I definitely have to mention Suzanne Collins. I have literally reread The Hunger Games trilogy so many times I've lost count, and I'm dying for Suzanne to release another book. It seems like it's been so long since Mockingjay was released, and I really do hope that she decides to write more YA fiction in the future!

So those are my picks for this week's topic guys! I can't wait to see which author's everyone else is choosing. :)

Thanks so much for reading! And I'll see you all in my next post.

  2. I am absolutely dying to read something by Sarah Dessen and Sephanie Perkins would have made my list too if I had finished the Anna and the french kiss trilogy but I am still waiting to pick up to last two books in that which I need to get to doing ASAP! Great picks though.

    1. I absolutely recommend Sarah Dessen! I have loved all of her books, and she's one of my all time favorite authors. You definitely need to finish the Anna trilogy! The other two books are amazing, and I especially love how characters from the first book also appear in those two! I'm off to check out your post right now :)

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...

First Line Friday: Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake

Happy Friday Friends :) There's so many reasons I'm excited that it's once again Friday. I'm excited to be taking part in another edition of First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books , but I'm also excited to be featuring one of my favorite author's new releases for this week's edition. First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading, and today I'm going to be sharing from Mandi Blake's new book, which released last week. Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake: About the Book: They have unfinished business. She just can’t remember what it is. Camille Vanderbilt is headed back home to Wyoming with one goal: find her old best friend and give him a piece of her mind for ghosting her six years ago. She won’t let anyone stand in her way… until a deer runs into the road and causes her to wreck and forget almost everything. Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille cras...
