The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak Review

Happy Halloween Guys!  I hope you're all having a fabulous holiday. I'm currently rocking my rt d2 costume, and getting ready to hand out candy to trick or treaters.  I've finally emerged from my reading slump, and I can tell you that I'm feeling a whole lot better too. :) It seemed only fitting that the book that pulled me out my slump was one of the ones I'd been the most highly anticpating reading from my TBR shelf, and that was, The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak. If you haven't read my RT Booklovers recap posts, I had the pleasure of getting to meet Ali at RT, and she's one of my all time favorite authors. I had told her several times throughout the week that her novel My Life With The Walter Boys is one of my all time favorites, and she surprised me with giving me an arc of her currently available novel, The Heartbreakers.  I honestly can't wait to share my review of this awesome novel with all of you guys, so let's go ahead and get start...

Most Anticipated November 2016 Book Releases

Can you believe it's already almost November guys? It's crazy to think that Christmas will be here in less than two months, and that soon we will be saying bye to fall, and hello to winter. I have to say though that November is going to be an awesome month for book releases! There's so many awesome books being released, and I'm seriously wishing my husband didn't already enforce his annual "no buying books so close to Christmas" book ban, because otherwise I'd have quite a few sitting in my cart on Indigo right now. So, although I won't be able to purchase any of my anticipated releases this month, I still thought I would go ahead and share the three I'm the most excited about with all you guys. :) 1) Heartless by Marissa Meyer: It's no secret that the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer is one of my all time favorite book series. In fact, I have yet to read Winter or Stars Above because I'm just not ready yet for the seri...

Book Recommendations: Books To Cheer You Up When You're Feeling Bue

Hey guys, I hope you're all having a great week, and discovering lots of amazing books. :) As I've mentioned in my last couple of posts, I've definitely been having a rough time lately, and so in honor of that, I decided to do a book recommendations post. I thought now would be the perfect time to share some of my favorite books to read when I'm feeling down, and I'd love to hear any of your recommendations as well. 1) The Magic In Manhattan Series by Sarah Mlynowski: First, let's start out with a comedic recommendation. If I'm a tad down, and I'm in a need of a book that will have me laughing outright, Sarah Mlynowski's Magic In Manhattan series is always a good choice. Rachel's shallow, and a tad selfish personality always lead to hilarious results, thrown in some magic for good measure, and this is a book that I honestly think could brighten anyone's day. Runner up Recommendations: The Confessions Of Georgia Nicholson series b...

Books That Influenced My Childhood

Hey guys! It's Monday, and as I mentioned in my last post, I've been having a bit of a rough week. I've been dealing with some stuff that's had me pretty down, and literally all I've felt like doing is working or doing housework. I haven't picked up a book in about five days, which is really unusual for me, and I've also not really had the TV or my computer on in that time, other than for working on my blog. I know that everyone goes through tough times, and that in the end, I'm sure it makes us stronger, but it's definitely been a time in my life that I hope I never have to repeat. I feel I so rarely go through reading slumps, that it's always weird when I finally do, but I know I will eventually find my way back to my beloved books, as let's face it guys, books have and will always be a huge part of my life. So along those lines, For today's post, I wanted to talk about some of the books that had the greatest impact on my chil...

Tell Me Again by Michelle Major Review

Happy Friday guys! I hope all your weekends are off to a great start. :) Unfortunately for me, I've been going through some rough stuff this week, and I feel pretty devastated and upset right now, but I thought that possibly sharing a review for this book I recently finished, with all you guys just might help cheer me up Tell Me Again by Michelle Major: Publisher:  Montlake Romance Release Date:  October 18th, 2016 Source:   Publisher via Netgalley I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my review, and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

Happy Tuesday guys! I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish, and here's the link to the main page if you're interested in becoming a part of it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one. First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after: 1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling: I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago. She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with. 2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academ...

Disney Vacation Memories

It's officially October 17th, and it's crazy to think that it's been almost a whole month since we flew home from our wonderful Disney World Vacation. :) I've yet to truly share too much about our trip with all you guys, other than posting my haul of all the goodies that came home with us, and I thought today would be an awesome day to share some of our favorite Disney photopass pictures, and the corresponding memories associated with them. This particular photo reminds me of what a great first day we had in the parks. We were originally only supposed to have eight day park tickets, but we discovered it was actually way cheaper to fly in one day earlier, and so we actually got a bonus day in the parks, which we spent at Epcot and The Magic Kingdom. This was the first photopass picture we took this trip, and I love how excited we both look for the awesome nine days ahead of us. Dinner at Be Our Guest was a highlight again this trip. We tried breakfast ...

Booknerd On A Budget :)

Happy Friday guys! Here's to the end of another great week, and hopefully, the start of another great weekend. Mine is going to be extremely busy, as we have an inspection coming at work, and I got a whole ton of paperwork dumped on my desk to get done beforehand. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to curling up with my book and wonderland tea to relax in the meantime. :) However, I wanted to do a little bit different of a blog post today. I'm sure anyone who loves reading is often plagued by the question as to "how do I afford to keep up with my reading obsession?" New books are sometimes expensive, and not everyone can afford to be spending hundred of dollars at the bookstore each week. I am definitely the type of person that has to budget for my books, and I thought today I'd like to share some of my ideas for being a booknerd on a budget. Just because you may not be able to buy out a bookstore, doesn't mean you have to miss out on great rea...

Top Ten Tuesday: Books You Read Because of Recommendations

It's Tuesday Guys, and I'm changing my blog posting schedule a little bit this week. As most of you know, I usually take part in Top 5 Wednesday's, but I decided to change things up a bit this week, and take part in The Broke and The Bookish'  Top Ten Tuesday meme for the first time ever. Here's the link to their Top Ten Tuesday page, if you're interested in learning more about it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html This week's topic is "Books You Read Because Of Recommedations," and I think it's going to be a really fun one to participate in for the first time. :) 1) The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich: I never really thought the Stephanie Plum series would be my kind of read, but for as long as I can remember they've been my best friend's absolute favorite. One night we decided to have a girl's night and watch the movie that's based on the first book in this serie...
