The Festive Christmas Book Tag

Happy Monday Everyone :)

Can you believe Christmas is just over a week away?

I feel like I've missed out on doing a lot of Christmas themed posts this year, since due to time constraints I wasn't able to participate in Blogmas.

However, I really wanted to get at least one Christmas book tag in this year, and so today I'm here to take part in the Festive Christmas Book Tag.

This tag was originally created by the booktuber GirlReading, and it looks like a lot of fun.

A Fictional Family You Would Like To Spend Christmas Dinner With?

I'd have to go with the Bradfords for this one. I'd love to see what Corbin would get up to at his first family Christmas, and Grandma would be a hoot as always I'm sure.

A Bookish Item You Would Like To Receive As A Gift?

I'd love a literary sweater or scarf. Preferably something with a Jane Austen quote on it would be utterly perfect.

A Fictional Character You Think Would Make A Perfect Christmas Elf?

I'm going to pick Mr. Tumnus from The Chronicles of Narnia for this one. I adore him, and for some reason I think he'd honestly be a perfect elf.

Match A Book To Its Perfect Christmas Song:

I'm not the greatest with these type of questions, but considering bells play an important part of this lovely Christmas tale, I'm going to go with I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day.

Bah Humbug. A Book Or Fictional Character You've Been Disappointed In And Should Be Put On The Naughty List:

I was really looking forward to a YA epistolary novel, but this one was a huge disappointment to me. It didn't live up to the hype at all in my opinion.

A Book Or A Fictional Character You Think Deserves More Love And Appreciation And Deserves To Be Put On The Nice List:

I don't know how this book hasn't become a huge success as it's honestly one of my favorite stories ever. Time travel, a lovely romance, a setting of Disney World of yesteryear? Like honestly what isn't to love about this one.

Red, Gold And Green. A Book Cover That Has A Wonderfully Christmassy Feel To It?

I have yet to read this one, but it has to be one of the most beautiful covers I've ever seen, and it just seems to scream Christmas every time I look at it.

A Book Or A Series You Love So Much, You Want Everyone To Find It Under Their Christmas Tree This Year So They Can Read And Love It Too:

This was by far my favorite book I read in all of 2018, and I'd love to get to share my love of it with someone else!

Thanks so much for joining me for this fun book tag today guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

First Line Friday: Carolina Breeze

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. For this week's first line, I'm going to be sharing from Denise Hunter's recently released title that I ended up absolutely loving. Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter: About The Book: A jilted bride. A struggling innkeeper. And a romantic mountain getaway that changes everything. Rising Hollywood star Mia Emerson is looking for a safe place to land in the wake of a public breakup a

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
