Walt Disney World Book Tag

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone :)

I pray for a restful and peaceful holiday for all of you, and that 2019 will be a blessed new year.

I'm going to be taking a few days off from my blog in order to spend some time with my friends and family, and spend some time reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas.

I will be back in a few days though to share all of my 2018 reading wrap ups with you all,

For today though, I'd like to share one last book tag with you all, and then I'll be taking Wednesday off from blogging, and will hopefully be back to my normal uploading schedule on Friday.

Merry Christmas Everyone :) And thank you for spending Christmas Eve with me here on The Preppy Book Princess!

I've mentioned before on my blog that I really enjoy taking part in book tags. They're so fun to post, and I always enjoy reading other people's posts, as it's always neat to see the original and different answers people come up with.

A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing book tags on YouTube, and I came across one I'd never heard of before, The Walt Disney World Book Tag.

As many of you know, I love Disney, and I love Disney World, so this was a book tag I definitely wanted to participate in.

(one of my favorite Disney World pics)

This particular book tag was created by Books, Board Games and Ballgowns, and Paradise Lost In Books on YouTube, and you can check out the original video here.

Magic Kingdom: A Book Set In A Magical World:

Narnia is still my favorite magical world. I've lost cost of just how many times I've read this series.

Epcot: A Book Set In The Future:

I probably could have chosen almost any Dystopian for this one, but I'm going with my favorite.

Hollywood Studios: A Book Set In The 1930s/1940s:

A lesser known young adult novel, but one that I really enjoyed.

Animal Kingdom: A Book Where The Main Character Is An Animal:

It's been way too long since I last read this beautiful novel. It was one of my favorite classics growing up, and I really want to reread it.

Expedition Everest: A Book Where The Characters Go On A Dangerous Journey:

I really could have chosen any of the books from The River of Time series for this one, but the fact that this last installment focuses around the Black Death definitely makes it the most dangerous of them all.

Dinosaur: A Book That Has Time Travel:

One of my favorite novels, and it seemed fitting to include it somewhere with this tag since it's also set in Walt Disney World.

Tower of Terror: A Book With Lots Of Ups And Downs:

I'm still bitter about this book this many years later.

Rock N Roller Coaster: A Book You Read Extremely Fast:

I devoured this the first time I read it. I literally couldn't put it down as I was so into the amazing story.

Mission Space: A Book That Made You Want To Vomit:

I remember having to read this in English class when I was in fifth grade, and I was so grossed out by the hand part that I literally felt nauseous when I finished it. And that's literally all I remember about this book.

Spaceship Earth: Choose A Historical Fiction Book:

One of my favorite reads from last month, and one of my favorite historical fiction books ever. The circus is also a really unique setting, and not something I've read too many books with it as a setting.

Soarin: A Book With Several Different Destinations:

With this one being a time travel novel, there's definitely several different destinations included, and it's still one of my favorite trilogies.

Haunted Mansion: A Book With A Spooky Atmosphere:

I love how Jaime Jo Wright always has such a scary atmosphere surrounding her books, and that I'm never able to read them late at night without scaring myself silly.

Space Mountain: A Book That Takes Place In Outer Space:

Cress was one of my favorite characters in The Lunar Chronicles, and I loved that her story took place in outer space.

It's A Small World: A Book That's Irritating But Has Sentimental Value:

I have to say that I respect this book for what it is, but it's probably my least favorite of all of the classics I've ever read. I found the main character to honestly be slightly obnoxious.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: A Book That Became More Popular Because Of The Movie:

This book was popular beforehand, but ever since the movie came out it's literally exploded and I'm hearing about it from everyone, even people that don't usually read. It's well deserved though, as this is such an amazing book.

Cinderella Castle: A Book With A Happy Ending:

I have to go with my favorite :) I was so happy with the way that Stephanie Perkins chose to end this book, and also with the way she chose to end the trilogy as a whole.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great Christmas!

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...

First Line Friday: Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake

Happy Friday Friends :) There's so many reasons I'm excited that it's once again Friday. I'm excited to be taking part in another edition of First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books , but I'm also excited to be featuring one of my favorite author's new releases for this week's edition. First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading, and today I'm going to be sharing from Mandi Blake's new book, which released last week. Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake: About the Book: They have unfinished business. She just can’t remember what it is. Camille Vanderbilt is headed back home to Wyoming with one goal: find her old best friend and give him a piece of her mind for ghosting her six years ago. She won’t let anyone stand in her way… until a deer runs into the road and causes her to wreck and forget almost everything. Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille cras...
