#Fridayreads June 21st, 2019

Happy Friday Bookish Friends :)

I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend.

Unfortunately for me, today starts the busiest week and a half of the year, as the last part of June is always the busiest time of the year at the restaurant I work at.

As such, I'm not sure how much time I'll have for my blog during this time period, but I'm going to try my best to keep up with my regular three posts a week.

For today's post, I decided I wanted to do another #fridayreads post. It's been a very long time since I last did one of these, and today I found myself in the mood of wanting to do so.

This weekly meme was started by The Petite Book Blogger, and involves you sharing what books you're going to be reading over the weekend, whether or not you're enjoying them, and whether you plan to review them once you've finished them.

For this weekend, I have quite an ambitious reading list. This is mainly due to the fact that I have a quite a few books on the go. I most definitely will not be finishing all of these, but I hope to read at least a little bit in each one.

I know I just read this one a couple of months ago, but I loved it so much that I'm now currently listening to the audiobook. I try to always have an audiobook on the go, but it takes me quite awhile to finish them as I don't listen to them too too often. As well, I'm very particular with listening to audiobooks in the sense that I won't read a book for a first time this way. I only reread books that I've already read the physical book already. This particular book has been my favorite read of the year so far, and since I've already reviewed it on my blog I won't be reviewing it again. You can check out my original review here.

After reading (and loving!) Mandi Blake's debut novel last month, review here, I can't even tell you how excited I am to get to advance read the second book in her Unfailing Love series. I've only read the first little bit of this one so far, but it's already amazing, and I will most definitely be reviewing it when I finish it.

This is my current NetGalley read, and it's amazing! I'm only about a quarter of the way through it so far, but it's already keeping me on the edge of my seat, and I hope to find the time to finish this one in the next little while. This is another title that I will definitely be reviewing once I finish it.

I've been reading this one for about a week already, and that's a pretty long time for me. It's not even that long of a book, and I usually fly through reads a lot faster than that, but I'm having a hard time getting into this one. I'm not the biggest fan of the world building so far, and I'm finding the story line is very confusing to try and follow. As I'm only a third of the way through it, I'm really hopeful that the rest of the book will change my opinion. At this point, I don't think I'll be reviewing this one unfortunately.

Jenny B Jones is quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors, and although I'm not loving this one quite as much as I did There You'll Find Me, it's still a really enjoyable read, and one that I'm looking forward to hopefully finishing this weekend. I plan on reviewing this one once I finish it.

And lastly:

Neil and I have both had such crazy schedules lately, and we wanted to take the time to do something together in the evenings other than just watching TV or the like. We decided to try reading a few chapters of a book together every night that we have time to do so, and this was our book pick. So far, we're both really enjoying it, and if we end up loving it then we might decide to finish the rest of the series the same way. I haven't quite made up my mind if I'm going to be reviewing this one or not.

And that's my weekend reading plans. What book (or books) do you plan on diving into this weekend? Let me know in the comments, and have a great weekend guys!

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: A Sweethaven Romance

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall? I personally love fall and it's my all time favorite season. However, I always find the changing of the seasons a tad bittersweet, although I'm very much looking forward to all the wonderful things fall brings with it. For today's post, I'm excited to be linking up again with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a fun, weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. For the last little while, I've been trying to focus on reading the many books I've added to my kindle over the last couple of years that I'd never got around to reading, and I've discovered many amazing books in the process. Today's first line comes from the book I most recently started reading on my kindle. A Sweethaven Rom...
