Hallmark Book To Movie Adaptations For Christmas 2019

Hello Bookish Friends :)

I hope you're all looking forward to the weekend!

In the past years of having my blog, I've done a few posts on the Hallmark movies coming out for the Christmas season that are based off of books. These continue to be some of the most popular posts on my blog, and since we once again got snow last week, it seemed like a good time to go ahead and highlight some of the titles coming this year.

You can check out my previous posts here, here and here.

I have to start off with the one that I'm personally the most excited about:

Christmas On My Mind starring Ashley Greene and Andrew Walker which is going to be based off of......

Denise Hunter is one of my favorite authors, and I can't wait to see how Hallmark adapts this beautiful story. Ashley Greene and Andrew Walker are perfectly cast for these characters, and it will be interesting to see how they change this summer themed book to be Christmas themed instead. This one will air December 19th on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.

Book Synopsis From Goodreads:

She only remembers loving him. But he can’t forget the way she left.

Following a concussion, Lucy Lovett can’t remember the last seven months of her life. She doesn’t remember leaving her fiancĂ© Zac Callahan weeks before their wedding or moving to Portland, Maine. And she sure doesn’t remember getting engaged to another man. All she remembers is loving Zac more than life itself.

It’s taken Zac months to move on after Lucy left him with no explanation. He’s thrown himself into his family’s farm and his restaurant business in Summer Harbor. Now Lucy’s back, vulnerable, homeless, and still in love with him. She needs his help putting the pieces together, but letting her back into his life is a risk—and the stakes are high. If he follows his heart he’ll win back the love of his life. But if her memory returns he’ll lose her all over again.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses starring Jill Wagner and Matthew Davis:

adapted from the novel of the same name by Jenny Hale:

I don't personally know too much about this one, as I have yet to read this book. However, it sounds like a lovely story about a single mother who gets the opportunity for an interior design job decorating a mansion in her city. This one will air October 26th on Hallmark Channel.

Book Synopsis From Goodreads:

An uplifting, beautiful story about never letting go of your dreams, the special magic of a family Christmas… and the rush of falling in love under the mistletoe.

Single mother Abbey Fuller loves her family more than anything, and doesn’t regret for a moment having had to put her dreams of being an interior designer on hold. But with her son, Max, growing up, when a friend recommends her for a small design job she jumps at the chance. How hard can it be?

Nick Sinclair needs his house decorated in time for his family’s festive visit – and money is no object. What he doesn’t need is to be distracted from his multi-million dollar business – even if it is Christmas.

When Abbey pulls up to the huge Sinclair mansion, she has a feeling she might be out of her depth. And when she meets the gorgeous, brooding Nicholas Sinclair, she knows that she’s in real trouble…

With the snow falling all around, can Abbey take the chance to make her dreams of being a designer come true? And can she help Nick to finally enjoy the magic of Christmas?

The Mistletoe Secret starring Kellie Pickler, Tyler Hynes, and Patrick Duffy:

adapted from the novel of the same name by Richard Paul Evans.

It sounds like they're changing the plot of this one a bit for the movie adaptation, but I guess we will all have to wait and see when it airs On November 10th on Hallmark Channel.

Book Synopsis From Goodreads:

Dear Universe,
Is anyone out there?

Thinking no one is reading, a blogger who calls herself LBH writes about her most personal feelings, especially her overwhelming loneliness. She goes from day to day showing a brave face to the world while inside she longs to know how it would feel if one person cared about her.

Alex Bartlett cares. He’s reading her posts in Daytona Beach, Florida. Nursing his own broken heart and trust issues, he finds himself falling for this sensitive, vulnerable woman whose feelings mirror his own. Following a trail of clues LBH has inadvertently revealed, he discovers that she lives in the small town of Midway, Utah. He makes his way there just after Thanksgiving, determined to find LBH. Maybe she’s a Lisa, Lori, or a Luanne. Instead, he finds a woman named Aria, a waitress at the Mistletoe Diner, who encourages Alex in his search while serving his pie along with some much-needed sympathy and companionship.

Alex finally finds his LBH, a woman who is as beautiful and kind as he imagined she would be. How can he tell her that he knows her secret? What’s holding him back? Could it be his feelings for Aria?

A Gift To Remember 2 starring Ali Liebert, Peter Porte and Tina Lifford:

Now I know that this one isn't directly based off of a book, but the first movie was adapted from the book of the same name by Melissa Hill so I'm going to include it here anyways.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Hallmark has next in store for these characters, and since there isn't much information available yet as to the plot of the new movie, I'm still going to go ahead and include the synopsis from the first book. This one airs November 24th on Hallmark Channel.

Book Synopsis From Goodreads:

Darcy Archer works in a small bookstore in Manhattan. A daydream believer, she refuses to settle for anything less than being swept off her feet by the perfect man... literally.

One day, when cycling to work, Darcy accidentally crashes into a sharply dressed gentleman walking his dog. He is knocked out cold, rushed to hospital and the poor pup gets left behind. Wracked with guilt, Darcy takes the dog and makes plans to reunite him with his owner, Aidan. As she discovers the mysterious stranger's world of books, travel, adventure and all the wonderful things she's ever dreamed about, Darcy builds a picture of this man and wonders if he could be THE ONE...

But does fantasy match reality? What happens when Prince Charming wakes up? Will Aidan be the happy ever after she's always imagined?

The Christmas Club starring Cameron Mathison and Elizabeth Mitchell:

based on the novel of the same name by Barbara Hinske.

This one focuses around two strangers who end up meeting to help an elderly lady find her lost Christmas savings. I think this one sounds really sweet, and it will air on Hallmark Channel on November 26th.

Book Synopsis From Goodreads:

Verna Lind expects Christmas of 1952 to be the best holiday she’s had since the war ended. But as she’s leaving the bank, a frigid wind off Lake Erie catches her hard-earned Christmas club savings, whisking the bills into the busy streets of downtown Cleveland and devastating her plans. Strangers come to her aid, though no one anticipates the power of their chance encounter or the seeds of happiness Verna’s lost money will sow.

From Barbara Hinske, best-selling author of the Rosemont series, comes this heartwarming Christmas tale celebrating the generosity of the human spirit and the irresistible pull of love — an instant holiday classic for admirers of It’s a Wonderful Life and The Gift of the Magi.

Those are the only ones I have to talk about with you guys today. I hope, however, that as more details are released about the upcoming movies that we will know of even more of them that are being based off of beloved books.

I have a feeling that it's going to be another great year of Christmas movies from the Hallmark Channel, and it all starts in just over a week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today guys! I hope you have a great rest of your day, and be sure and leave a comment down below letting me know what your all time favorite Hallmark Christmas movie is.
