DITL: My Birthday Vacation With My Hubby

Happy Friday Friends :) As I'm writing this, I'm actually away again with my hubby for a few days. He had a ton of unused vacation days that he needed to get rid of, and since we'd had such a fantastic trip the first time we decided to go back to the same place. However, today I thought it would be fun to share a day in the life post with you all about our first trip to the mineral spa, which was from January 13th-15th for my birthday. I haven't done one of these posts in a very long time, so I thought it would be fun to do one today. January 13th, 2020: We had originally planned to leave around noon, but crazy weather was supposed to be blowing in to our part of the province, and we in no way wanted to get caught in it. Since we had about a two hour drive ahead of us, we got ready quickly and were on the road shortly before eleven. The drive was fairly uneventful and we made it to the mineral spa about 1pm. We were so thankful that our room was already ready, and we ...

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I hope you're all doing well. We're in the middle of an extreme cold spell where I live, so I've been spending a lot of time indoors under a blanket with my Bible and some great Christian fiction reads. I've read a few of Suzanne Woods Fisher's books in the past and always enjoyed them, so I was really looking forward to reading her upcoming release. I think a lot of you are going to end up loving this one as much as I did, and I can't wait to tell you all about it. The Vanishing at Loxby Manor by Abigail Wilson Review

Happy Friday Friends :) How are you all doing today? I pray this day finds you all doing well and I'm thankful that you chose to stop by The Preppy Book Princess for a new book review today. I've finished eleven books so far this year, and all of them have been either four or five star reads. It's amazing how much more I've been enjoying reading since I'm become a lot stricter about what content I'm allowing to enter into my mind. I've really enjoyed the books by Abigail Wilson I've read and reviewed in the past, and I couldn't wait to get to her latest. The Vanishing at Loxby Manor by Abigail Wilson: Source: Publisher via NetGalley Publisher: January 26th, 2021 Publisher: Thomas Nelson Genre: Christian Fiction/Historical Fiction Synopsis: Disappearances, strange activities in the night, and secret organizations abound in this mysterious Regency romance. Choosing His Family by Jill Lynn Review

Happy Wednesday Friends :) I pray you're all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me here on The Preppy Book Princess. A couple of years ago, I started reading The Colorado Grooms series by Jill Lynn, and it quickly became one of my all time favorites, and definitely my favorite Love Inspired series by far.  I was both excited and sad to get a chance to read and review Choosing His  Family, as I couldn't wait to read it but also wasn't ready to see this series come to an end. However, I can definitely tell you that Jill Lynn gave all these characters the send off they deserved, and I'm looking forward to telling you all about it. Choosing His Family by Jill Lynn: Source: Complimentary Copy Provided by the Author Publisher: Love Inspired Publication Date: February 1st, 2021 Series: Colorado Grooms Genre: Christian Fiction/Christian Romance Synopsis Three reasons to ask her to stay… Will offering a helping hand open the door to forever? Tidewater Bride by Laura Frantz Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I hope you all had a great weekend, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess. Last week, my hubby ended up taking me away for a couple of days for my birthday and we had such a lovely time. Our province is currently under orders that we are not allowed to mix with other households in our homes, and so this would be the first birthday for me that I wouldn't have been able to get celebrate with my family at all. My hubby decided to do something differently this year since restrictions made things a lot more difficult, and he ended up taking me away to a mineral spa for a couple of days. The mineral waters there were compared to the famous ones at Bath, and we had an amazing time taking in the waters, going for walks in a beautiful park, and checking out some great local restaurants. We both can't wait to go back, hopefully soon. I may share some photos and highlights in an upcoming post, but for ...

Picture Perfect Love by Melissa McClone Review

Hello Everyone :) How have you all been doing lately? I've mentioned quite a few times recently that I've been struggling a lot lately-mainly with fighting against lies from the enemy and trying to keep my head above water with the many difficulties that have fallen upon my family lately. I can't say I'm enjoying this struggle and it's definitely taken a good portion of my energy, but I am thankful for how much my faith has grown since this all started, and that no matter how bad things may get, God is good all the time. I know He has a plan and purpose for all of this, and I'm choosing to trust Him. I am trying to get my blog back on a better uploading schedule, and today I'm going to share a review that I'd written quite awhile ago but never ended up getting a chance to post.  I'd started reading the Year of Weddings novellas a couple of years back, but had never gotten the opportunity to finish them. Since I've had so much extra reading time o...

Colors of Truth by Tamera Alexander Review

Happy Monday Friends and Happy 2021! I'm sure a lot of you have noticed that I've been pretty absent from my blog and my social medias the last couple of months, and I am trying to work on changing that. I've been through a lot in the last few months, and quite frankly, I felt I needed to make some major changes in my life. I've been feeling really discouraged from the way our world has been changing, and it saddens me the most to see how many Christians seem to see nothing wrong with so many of these changes. I've really felt a conviction in my spirit to change a lot of the ways I've been living my life that weren't lining up with God's Word, and one of those changes was the type of media I was allowing into my mind. I'm extremely embarrassed of some of the secular books, shows and music I was letting myself be entertained by, and I've decided that enough is enough. I'm going into 2021 with much stronger standards for the type of materials...
